Arnie was one of my grandfather's favorite golfers. I grew up on Jack and Tom Watson. But Arnie was always the quiet, sure-of-himself figure.

RIP Arnie's Army.

My grandparents were avid golfers and golf fans, so most weekends golf was on the tv. They liked Arnold, and if they were still with us, they would've been really sad to hear this. I want to say they had seen in play in-person a few times.

And because they were always watching and playing, I picked up a lot about golf, too. There are certain names I'll be sad to see pass because of the connection to my grandparents, and Arnold is definitely one of them.
