This is apparently a typically Finnish phenomenon, but a lot of cosplayers also don WWII uniforms, particularly German and Soviet ones. This guy was a loner this year, though... and even he asked me not to take notice of his anachronistic denims


The most obvious place to find a Prohibition cop: in front of the restaurant where beer was served

Okay, it's been a while since I last read ElfQuest... the one on the right is Bearclaw, but I can't remember who the one on the left was.

And that's it for this year. There were a lot of other costumes as well, but these were the ones I managed to capture on film while also enjoying games and lectures. Can't wait for next year!

Heck if I know... though I think the person playin Bearclaw was actually a woman.

Personally I was more horrified by the zebra person having apparently dyed her belly hair to match.

Just look just a tad under her navel.



I thought the other elf might've been Joyleaf... but I remembered her wearing greens, not browns. Must check.
