[Rant] Minor Rant III: For a Few Hollers More

Jaw hurts from surgery. As a result, my sarcasm filter is malfunctioning and everything coming out of mouth is the true response I'd want to give if I weren't self-muffled at almsot all times.

Also I've found that "<EmployeeName>, give me the god-damned X" gets me the god-damned X in short order.

Yes, but wouldn't you rather have a not-damned X than a damned one? :p

Also, I know the feeling. My jaw's been hurting for 2 weeks now (in the "tears in my eyes from chewing" variation...As if losing weight from sress wasn't enough, now I'm deliberately not eating because of the pain). Problem is the jaw specialist I've seen has a 18 weeks waiting time for an appointment, this isn't urgent enough to go to emergency, adn my GP is an idiot.
I'm still hoping it'll go away, but so far, no luck. If you can hear your jaw joint crunch and crack every time you chew, that's not good, I guess? :p

Is this typical for your health care, or is it just because it requires a specialty?
It's very rare. Belgian health care's one of the few things we actually get right most of the time. Surgeons specializing sctrictly in the jaw joint are pretty rare, after all. For "regular" specialists liek dentists, otorhinolaryngologist or ophtalmologists the delay's usually a few days or a week for urgent stuff or a few weeks if it's just a check-up.

Dammit my team asked me to work on developing our website, I spent all of today on it and now nobody's answering when I ask for feedback. I don't want to spend all of tomorrow on it too only to find out everybody hates the direction I'm taking it.

Tell them to stuff it. If they can't respond in a timely fashion when asked directly for a critique, then you can't be held accountable for maintaining the path that you're on.

Then drop the mic and stroll out of the room like a BOSS.

The girl I took out for coffee and sushi this weekend is out of town for work all week, and then in Grand Bend for a friend's birthday all weekend.

We're texting occasionally but I want to see her again. :(

I hope those weren't at the same time. Those are two great tastes that don't taste great together.

No we had coffee and talked for like three hours and then grabbed some dinner.

Minor Rant: OKC keeps matching me with local girls who are 14 inches shorter than me.

Maybe it is a personality thing? I see lots of tall guys with short girls. Someone should do a study.

Is this a girl you got matched up with through online dating? Just curious how much success you are having with that.

Send them my way. I definitely have a thing for short girls.

One of my best friends is 6'2 and his girlfriend is 5'1. They've been dating for over 5 years now.

My stomach is killing me... just feels like there's a heavy weight sitting in my guts, putting pressure on everything. Nothing seems to relieve it.. and now I've progressed on to some sort of general malaise - feel weak all over, fuzzy-headed, highly uncomfortable...

Blech... hope this is gone by tomorrow.

I just got a call from my wife that my 3 year old son clogged the toilet with a full roll of toilet paper and flushed it repeatedly. Time to get a toiler auger and drano and have lots of fun when I get home from work. YAY!

I didn't realize your son was baby Plucky.

WANT. TO FLUSHIT. AGAIN.

Mine would probably be the episode "In Fields of Honey" Just cause I loved when Tiny Toons and Animaniacs would delve into the real history of WB cartoons. Bosko and Honey were real characters (Though significantly more racist than the ones in Tiny Toons), and I'm pretty sure the Animaniacs are actually pseudo-based on them.

That is may favorite tiny toons clip.
What, not the one with the ellelator? Personally, I think my favorite is "The Kite" but I liked the "educate Plucky" series ("Animaniacs," "Never Too Late to Loon," and "Wild Takes Class") as well.
(I do agree that the baby Plucky episodes are some of the best, not only because he was voiced by the son of one of the producers).
