Got Married

Congratz man! Sounds like you guys are ready.

One recommendation though, if you want the magic of Las Vegas, don't stray far from the strip. I would explain why, but I worry talking about it might ruin some of the magic in-of itself.
If you want to play slots and actually have it last longer than your sex life, you might want to go to The Orleans. That's where the locals play.

Also if you love to drink, gamble at a low stakes table. You gamble, lose very little money (though also win very little money) and get free drinks the whole time. At least that's how it works at the places I have gone.

It's funny even talking about this, since I myself leave for Las Vegas on a trip this Saturday.

  • Sex in a helicopter.
  • Sex on top of Paris.
  • Sex on a gondola.
Fixed that for you. Until you've been married for 18 years like me. Then it's:
  • Too tired to go to a helicopter. Watch TV instead.
  • Paris? Too many damned tourists. Watch TV instead.
  • Sex on a gondola? Nah. Too uncomfortable. Stay home and watch TV instead.

That's all? 23 years here. Plus, you just gotta try harder, we're going on an adult Disney trip in September... gonna try not to get kicked out of a park. If ya know what I mean.

How'd I miss this thread the first time around? Congrats Jay!

As for things to do in Vegas, I hear some people gamble a bit when they're down in those parts.

Sadly, I just found out the week we're going to be there. They won't be there. :fu:

Also, this will be the song the fountain will play after the ceremony.

I recommend the Blue Man Group and The Amazing Johnathon as alternatives. Really, The Amazing Johnathon is sort of like the South Park version of Penn and Teller.

I stayed at a Salone suite in the Bellagio when I was there last year. It's such a beautiful hotel. Congratulations to you and your lady!

Thank you HD as well to all the well wishers.

Let me just say, this wait this last month.... is excruciating.... unsure if it's the wedding and hoping all goes well or the excitement of going to Vegas for the first time.

My father-in-law said that to my wife while they were standing at the back of the chapel about to walk down the aisle. She almost busted out laughing.
My father-in-law said, as he handed his daughter, to me, "Your fly is down."

Consider yourself lucky.

Out of everything I did in Vegas *cough* remember the pictures *cough* The fountain at the Bellagio was my favorite.

I wasn't impressed by the fountains much when I went, but I saw them in the daytime. They look a lot better at night. So is it like, if you get married there you get to pick one fountain choreography?

Damn, this has to be BY FAR going to be one long ass week. 3 more days of work before Wedding/Vegas and now Diablo 3 is out.

I'm currently at work and I'm... WHO CARES.

Don't worry about D3. Nobody can play the fucking thing anyway. I'm currently downloading it for the third time again because they can't get their shit to work.
