Stationary bike and I have a date today. (too cold and wet out to bike outside)

I have this friend that will eat multiple Big Macs in one sitting and is skinny as hell.

Is it me? Because I do that.

My fitness goal is to gain 10 pounds and hopefully build a little muscle for once in my goddamn life.

And also I haven't gone dancin' in months and really want to.

Stocked up on vegetables. Tonight I'm going to steam some brussel sprouts and roast some carrots. That'll be my lunch this week. Also got me some V8s, some milled flax for my steel-cut oatmeal, and some eggs and sardines for protein! Also bought a nice big bag of brown rice for the next time I make red beans. I got back on MyFitnessPal today (she forgave me for calling her a bitch...) and Jake and I are about to get out in this beautiful sunshine and enjoy a walk!

Needed to run to the convenience store down the block for some cigarettes (I know, I know) and some gatorade. Drinking just water non-stop gets boring and I don't drink enough, so I've found that if I buy a couple small bottles of Gatorade, and then drink half of one, then refill with water, and repeat until I can't taste the gatorade aymore, then refill with half the other bottle and continue; I do a much better job of staying hydrated. It's absolutely gorgeous here today and there was enough traffic that turning left out of the apartment complex was going to take forever and a day, so I decided to just walk. Kept a good enough pace going that my calves were tight and my heart rate was up both there and back. Much happier for having done so than having driven a block there and back.

I've been doing that too! By the third one it tastes like vitamin water.

I started going to the gym a couple of months ago and except for a few eeks were I was sick I have been pretty good at going. Lately I have settled into a routine of going 4 times a week (Tuesday,Thursday,Saturday,Sunday) and one day I will do cardio and upper body and than my next day i will do cardio and lower body. Right now I am 185 lbs and for my height (6'2") that is not bad but I would prefer to drop down to 170 -175 lbs. But more than weight loss I just want to tone up and get healthier overall. So I have been trying to eat a lot more veggies and salads and for the most I have been pretty good but every now and than I break down and eat to much crap (usually over the weekend cause I tend to graze when I am bored). But still overall I think I have been doing fairly well and I am looking forward to hopefully seeing some more improvements as the months progress.

I need to cut my drinking down by one day. I managed to work out all but one day last week, but I feel like I killed it with a weekend of binge drinking.

Weight is a meaningless number to me... I currently weigh 172 lbs (I'm 6'0") but my waist is bigger than it was when I weighed 190 (probably because that was all muscle). I was in awesome shape two years ago, could run 10km no problem, benching more than my bodyweight, could do all kinds of exercises with no problem and had lots of energy. Unfortunately I fell off the wagon hard and no longer have any of my strength or endurance and I am trying hard to fix that.

I'm going to have our home gym setup in my basement by the end of this month and hopefully I will be ready to start my P90x program in a few weeks from now (need to train to do the training program... gah).

Hopefully I'll look back at this in August with a hearty "hell yeah!"

Been doing P90X for the last month or so... then I gaffed off a week. I will repeat this week, and apply myself harder to it.

Currently sitting at 237, aiming for 203 by July 12th.

The single best thing I've done for my weight loss is to stop drinking sodas (no matter HOW good they taste... *sniff sniff*), and my wife was pleased when I showed her what the meal plan for P90X looked like - she can now shop appropriately without feeling like I'm asking her for arbitrary stuff.

I've held off on on the running while doing this, but I'm wondering if, with a little judicious juggling, I'll be able to fit both exercise routines into my morning. That would be harder, but very doable, I think. *grins*

Started at a hefty 230, which isn't horrible at 6', but left me a little portlier around the middle than I'd like. Dropped as low as 212 about a month ago, before work stress, life stress and a general dissatisfaction plumped me up to 220. The goal is 200 which is completely achievable before summer taking into account a new corporate wellness initiative that I've been drafted into as well as regular kick boxing practice.

How are you finding the P90x program so far? I'm going to be starting it in a about a month's time if all goes well.

Ran around the damn kids' track after choir practice... Was determined I work out web though I was exhausted! I'm so glad I did! Now it's time to cook up some beans and roast some veggies. I wanted to pick up food so badly but I I'd not!! Someone high five me!

It's pretty good, but you really REALLY need to make sure that you're not cheesing it (like I have been, the last week *sighs*). Also, make sure that you have the weights that you need: A low set, a normal set, and a high set (for biceps). I started with a "mere" pair of 25 pounders, and found that for what they were requiring me to do, even that weight was too high for some of the exercises. I will be rolling with 15s, 25s, and 40s after all is said and done.

I'll make sure to borrow a few sets of lower weights from my parents (who haven't used them in... ever). I'm assuming I need a chin-up bar too right? How far into the 3 months are you now?

I've been trying to stretch daily over the last few weeks, am able to touch my toes again, but I don't seem to be getting any better with that.

Also, going to attempt to eat healthy at buffalo wild wings. Yeesh.

Non-breaded chicken wings are a great cheat food for people trying to lose weight if eaten sparingly.

Do they have those there? I know they have them at Tilted Kilt (they're also grilled!)

I was just going to go with the naked tenders.
