Ah, Obelix and Asterix. That makes sense. I had never even heard of them until 3 years ago. Had to read one of their comics for school.

5 and 8 are mostly unknown to american audiences because they are french comics by origin, and thus are less well-known in the states while being quite popular in Europe. My other american friends had similar problems with identifying them.

I feel better for not guessing 5 and 8 because even knowing the answer i still dont recognize them.

It doesn't help that those two have also been on a downhill road ever since one or both of the creators have moved to greener pastures.

granted, an accurate map of Springfield is impossible, because after a handful of years they just gave up on making the town one singular place and turned it into Everywhere But Kinda Mid-California, USA. So the fact the guys that made that shit were able to fit in as much as they did is, indeed, impressive.
