I hate hearing flip flops in the bank. It's always by customers but I'm like "Madame... you really have no business wearing those into this bank. Perhaps you'd feel more comfortable banking with the institute that has their branches in the local Wal-Mart?"

Man I don't mean to sound "uppity" but this isn't the welfare office....
Heh, I haven't worn anything on my feet other than adidas sandals in... 6 or 7 years. Including going to the highfalootin' bank.

Longer than that if you don't count things like job interviews or weddings.

You would not believe the fissures on my heels.

Interestingly this doesn't work with all LCD screens, but I'm not sure why. I think it might be that some screens use linear polarization, while others use circular, but don't know for certain. What I do know is that I tried to show this trick to my sister, and it didn't work with her Zune, while it worked just fine on my Insignia media player.

Is it a Zune HD? Those screens are OLED. Alternatively, not all filters are installed the same. Did you try rotating the Zune 90 degrees?

I don't think they make lcds with circular polarizers. Given that they depend on 'handedness,' I don't believe that you could use them the same way as linear polarizers in monitors. stienman?

Two-strap berkinstocks all summer here. Except when I'm barefoot. Actually berkin"mocks", since the ones that Wal-mart sells for $5 last about 10x as long as the real ones.

Well my military is not going to be taken down by guys in flip flops.... children can outrun flipflop guys

Then what you use are sandals, not flip flops.

Flip flops make a "CLOP CLOP CLOP" noise as you walk. Sandals don't sound any differently than shoes.

Ok someone needs to take the loofa picture and put in a flip flop now...

Those shoes that you posted a picture of are definitely part of what I am talking about. Someday they will be banned in my glorious revolution.

Along with crocs... and all the people who wear them.

Nope, not a Zune HD. I'll have to take a pair of the movie theater Real3D glasses, which are circularly polarized, to see if they block out the screen.

Actually, people who wear flip-flops or those little thong sandals that are somewhere between FF and regular sandals... actually... anyone who DRAGS THEIR FUCKING FEET! ARGLBARGLEGGORAMACHEESE!

Went bowling with a friend tonight.
(10 pin)
She told me before hand that she was a terrible bowler. Her highest score ever was 65. I helped her out through her first game and gave her some pointers, and in the following 4 games her lowest score was 75, highest was 85. Its not a huge improvement, but an improvement nonetheless. Racked up a fair number of strikes and spares as well. You could tell she wasn't used that. She was flabbergasted with herself, and I felt pretty pleased. I was really hoping to see her crack 100 , but we didn't get there yet. My own scores weren't great, highest was only 171, but its been several years since I'd been and I've still never gotten real used to the ten pin balls. It was way more fun to see her gradually get better and better over two hours.

True fact: I used to think Huffington Post was a joke name of a fake newspaper, a la The Onion. I still think Huffington sounds ridiculous, but now because it appears to betray a massive ego.

A few years ago on a whim I decided to look up my great uncle, who is in the Canadian Boxing Hall of Fame, and came across a website with a photo of him. I also found a message there from his daughter, and I left a message asking about family history. I also showed it to my dad. Then I forgot about it.
Today, I found that site again. Another relative I've never met responded to me, (one of my dad's cousins), and one of MY cousins responded to her, and aparently just a few days ago my dad was on the same site, asking why I supposedly never told him about it. Just thought that was weird.

My coworkers make me feel better about myself than many of my friends. I got the most wonderful compliment from a woman on Friday. Makes me glad I'm there. As stressed as that place makes me, it's also helped me to resolve some confidence issues.

Dude, you don't seem to realise the level of fightin' words that have just been thrown down here. In Texas, one does not simply talk shit about chili.

And Canadian chili? *snort* Please... *trollface.jpg*
