The EPIC WIN Thread 3: SON OF EPIC

I just had the biggest interview of my life. It went very well and I expect to hear back from them soon.

When asked when, outside of work or school, I had voluntarily accepted a leadership role, the interviewer was delighted to hear that I'm a forum moderator and SW:TOR guild master.

Hot date tonight involving beer, carry-out and Forrest Gump. I may be in love. She's more snarky and bitchy than I am!

I am so lucky to have my wife. Besides caring for our pets together, working on projects, helping each other, listening, and all that stuff, tonight we spent a fun time after watching Red Letter Media's dissection of Star Wars Episode II ranting and bitching to each other about different Star Wars crap. Not one person bitching and the other listening, but an interactive rant, building atop each other's observations over the shitty prequels and what a shmuck George Lucas is.

I love my wife so much.

*throw :D

Also, there's something you'd better understand about me, 'cause it's important and one day, your life may depend on it...I am DEFINITELY a madman with a comic book collection. :D

Really? I never knew that before... :p

On a different note...

Last night made hard sticky balls with my girl friend. They were sticky and delicious goodness, but unfortunately there was a slight salt mishap which happened right after I told her about TNG's salt mishap. I swear his luck rubs off on me if he comes up in conversation. :aaah:

As of 11pm this evening I will have gone cold turkey for an entire 24hrs. I had started smoking this past summer after a 5 year hiatus and now I'm trying to quit all over again. Wish me luck.

I work for an Event linen rental company and I was expecting an important package which finally showed up just as I was closing the office for the long weekend. All my contracts are up to date and filed away. My Expense spread sheet is done, my office and myself are no longer covered in feathers and glitter.

I got a call from my "non-boyfriend" (one of the guys I've been recently dating) asking to go out with me this evening. I knew he wanted to go out to dinner so I took it upon myself to make reservations and when I texted said guy that I made reservations and chucked in we were going dancing this evening as well, he was totally down with that.

I think this has/will make for an EPIC start to the long weekend. :D

I landed a job for when this contract ends. I'll be freelancing from home, animating on a TV show (that I can't talk about yet). For me, this is HUGE. After I got off the phone, I was so excited/ nervous I was shaking for several hours.
I better not blow it.

Sweet. Congrats, man. You deserve it. I say without reservation that you're one of the best all-around artists I've come in contact with personally. You've got a talent for breathing life into your work.

Thanks, man. That seriously means a lot coming from you.
I really need to get in the habit of throwing more sketches up here though. I keep starting threads in the artists' section and then never following up with it.

Come to think of it, Prime, I should think about sending you some of my unpublished stories and have you tear them apart. I've sent them to a couple of places and been rejected.

I wouldn't mind, though you might not see anything until April. Though I should warn you, my experience with novels is extensive, but my short stories knowledge is more to due with fairy tales (since that's what I do) and might not hone things to what someplace is looking for in a short story, besides any general word assortments/grammar/etc. But I can at least give corrections and feedback.

My son works in teh WalMart deli. Tonight someone canceled an order for 300 pieces of chicken because they forgot it was lent. The person who took the order didn't get any money up front so they were just shit outta luck. Why is this an epic win? Zach brought home 50 pieces of deli chicken tonight. They gave 200 pieces to the employees (in the break room) and then Zach took 50. The other 50 had to be thrown away, but right now I'm chowing down on some poultry goodness.

Get to book an adult only trip to Walt Disney World in just 20 days! Lots of fun and lots of good food to eat!
One of my best buddies just did that....only they had some meal plan that fucked him and his girlfriend over hard...also, they said the food was horrible. I hope your experience is different.

We use the Disney Dining Plan, haven't had a bit of trouble with it at all, also haven't had a bad meal there yet. We make our reservations for meals about 6 months in advance and have been able to eat at any of the real restaurants that we've cared to try. Depending on the time of year, you can really run into problems if you don't make meal reservations, too many people trying to get into all the same places. I think that the longest wait we've had past our reservation time was 15 minutes and only one place that we ate that wished we had not eaten at (I think it's because it was too close to similar food that was terrific).

"And so it was that Dave shed a single tear of manly pride. His son had brought meat to the table. He was now a man."

What has two thumbs and just wrote 3,300 words for Dilbert Pinkerton's second adventure? This guy!

What's strange, though, is I tried something I've never done before. I wrote the last two chapters. Before, all I had written was the first two chapters. So I've basically got the beginning and the end, with the middle still to write. First time I've ever tried writing something out of order like that.

But honestly? Not to toot my own horn, but those were two damn good chapters I just wrote. I mean, I think I like them more than anything else I've written so far for Dill.
