[TV] The Walking Dead

The number one show on AMC should be given a better budget and more respect from the company men. It's funny how the people who read the comic book complain the show could be better but my non geek coworkers (up to 40 year old soccer moms) love the show. If the formula works don't change a thing. I enjoy this show as much as anything else currently on TV.
Has Halforums come up with a survival plan in event of a zombie apocalypse? Where would we meet up at? Who would lead the group? Who would be the first one turned into a zombie? People we really need to this this stuff hammered out.

If we were all meeting up during the zombie apocalypse, I'd round up the chunkiest lot of you bastards to hang around with me. Zombies don't eat the faster of the two.

Let's see now...

Live next to a hospital. Check.
Overweight. Check.
Have no firearms at home. Check.
Suffering from a serious medical condition. Check.

Yup... Might as well start bathing in barbeque sauce when the dead come a-callin' ;)

Oh man, come on zombie apocalypse. Firearms, all that other shit? Check. Camping gear meant for severe winter conditions? Super check.

I'm more excited to watch Comic Book Men directly afterwards. I hope it has minimal Kevin Smith, I love the dynamic that Bryan Johnson and Walt Flannagan have.

Kevin and Jay only make a few appearances throughout the season, according to him. They only drop into the shop when they're in New Jersey, and both of them live in California and are constantly touring around.
I think Kevin will be in it more than Jay, and especially in this first episode, but my understanding from his podcasts is that the show is really about the guys actually running the shop.
I don't think I'll get to see it, as whats on TV here is kind of dictated by the guy who actually owns the house after all.

Started real slow (obviously after the huge climax of the 1st parter).... enjoyed the last 10 minutes... some real good quality poker going on. Called what was going to happen the moment he went over the bar.

Oh... Lori... *facepalm*

I think this episode needed to be slower paced. There was a lot fallout from those last 15 or so minutes from last season. The fallout from the little girl, as well as shooting all of Herschel's family.

Still, I think I'm ready for them to leave the farm and move onto something else.

I was thinking. Oh, damn, Yankees. It's all going to hell now. Rick is a superhuman shot.

No no no. I don't mean that it needed to be slower than it already was. I just mean that, given the story context, the pacing kind of had to be slow. Character development/interaction, not action, was needed.
