You need to find a team sport. I'm usually part of a recreational soccer team. Now that I've moved to Qatar, I'm on a softball team that plays about once per week. I'll find a soccer team soon in order to really drop my holiday weight. Seriously, six weeks playing soccer knocked one and a half inches off my waist.
Nah I never enjoyed team sports either. I just plain hate exercising it is a major chore. So when I am on a team I am just really whiny and a pain in the ass to be around, but what do you expect when I am having to do something I loathe with every ounce of my massive being.

Guh... have the crud - caught it from my daughter. I've been sneezing all day, my nose is doing a credible impression of a firehose, my sinuses feel like they're stuffed with cotton, and my chest feels like I'm doing a Giles Corey impression.

And it's my Monday. Fuck.

You know O_C, it's the last bit there that really sells it. Having a cold sucks, having a cold on Monday really, really sucks.

People blame rats and fleas for the plague, but I blame the children. In a year, my rats have never made me sick. I can't say the same for my little cousins. And it's usually the shit that twists you up inside and leaves you feeling like death.

Feel better, Charon.

The truly damning part of this whole thing is that this is but a mere preview of what life is going to be like when she goes to school. *headwheel*

My girlfriend had shared a cup with a girl who ended up finding out she has mono and is now sick. That sounds like fun...

Three girls actually. Her other friend who she was with has the exact same symptoms she has. My immune system is generally rock-solid so hopefully it holds strong now.

So I had a party last night, and naturally purchased a party platter or crackers, meats and cheeses.

WELL

I had some left over, and have so far eaten all the crackers, and meats. Now I just have cheese squares left.

sssssiiiiiiiggggghhhhh

Man, I keep mixing up the various Rant / Minor Rant / Whine threads, and consequently, find myself reading REALLY SAD STUFF

The metformin gods are not being kind to me. I thought that I'd adjusted to the meds last month, but apparently it was just that I was so frequently forgetting one of my daily doses that I wasn't being hit by them as badly. Now that I'm remembering to take them, Mt. Vesuvius has returned to my lower GI tract.

There it is. I don't think I've ever felt more drained from being sick. Hope this goes away soon.
I had mono back in high school. I understand your pain (though it's pretty painless overall). For the next week you will feel like you just hiked up a mountain and haven't slept days. Just get as much rest as you can when possible. Make sure you avoid contact sports or any sudden impacts.

Old school Tranformers toys are HARD to transform.

Luckily there are instructions all over the place for them but even with instructions they are ridiculous.

Also, remember to push fluids. Drink lots of water, but remember to mix it up occasionally with something with electrolytes so you don't strip your body of nutrients. I wound up hospitalized because I didn't stay hydrated enough.

Got my Kindle Touch yesterday and discovered that I'm turning into a stupid old person. I went to hit "Download Sample" and instead hit "Buy Book." Since it doesn't ask you if you're sure or not like on Amazon.com proper, I just slammed $17 down on The Hunger Games trilogy that I wasn't intending to spend. So I guess I might as well read it!

not sure where this would go, so it should fit here. After much iffy-ness and awkwardness I finally sat down with my partner and talked about her moivng, and the way she has been treating me in the interim. Our housemate moved out early because the house was "really fucking awkward to live in" since she announced the move. we havent hugged nor kissed in almost a month. not from lack of trying. we barely even stay at the house on the same nights. Finally made her stop and talk tonight.

out of 6 years of dating, w have remembered/celebrated 3 valentines days and 2 anniversaries(both of us, not just me forgetting). We decided since she was moivng cities in a few weeks, and i was moving house in a few days, why not keep with the screwing of couple tradition and officially end it tonight. Valentine's day in our timezone. One last laugh from our slightly quirky relationship. She thought it was an awesome idea. So I just broke up with my long term girlfriend officially.

Now what?
