Yes. I'm in western Massachusetts, and I felt it. Freaky, man. Freaky. 5.8 quake in Washington D.C., but a lot of the east coast felt it.

Felt it in South Jersey. I woke up, my fucking bed was shaking! I thought I was still dreaming.

One of the guys who sits next to me was talking to his brother on the phone. His brother said, "I gotta go! Holy shit we're having an earthquake!!"

Egads, location people. If I felt an earthquake in Wisconsin, I'd shit bricks.

Maybe if Cali was hit by a tornado they'd realize how strange it would be to suddenly experience a natural phenomenon they weren't used to.

A tornado? We get those here too.

This is just outside Chico:


We also get wildfires, floods, mudslides, tsunamis, extreme heat, extreme cold, high winds, blizzards, avalanches, and almost any other natural disaster. The only thing I don't remember ever getting would be a hurricane. No other state enjoys such a wide variety of natural disasters. So yeah, wake me when something is seriously damaged.

Gee, that hurts. This whole thing is nothing more than people on the east coast being self-centered. A non-serious earthquake that does little to no damage hits them, and it's the end of the world. :aaah:

Tell me this: If an earthquake of the same magnitude hit anywhere else, would it be news worthy? Would it be the top news result and get coverage on CNN? Nope. Because IT'S NOT THAT BAD.
