Sometimes I support 4chan

And this is one of them: 4chan on the Hunt for Puppy-Throwing Girl

A word of warning-the video is very disturbing. For those of you who don't want to open the link basically a video is shot of a girl throwing puppies into a river. It's posted on the 4chan site and they are on the hunt for her. They were able to find who uploaded the video and have narrowed down who they think the individual is. Seriously I hope the local authorities come down on this little psycho. Go 4chan.

The only problem is when they post the wrong persons info accidentally and that person gets harassed into oblivion.

That is true. If they get the wrong individual it's not good. They did find the woman who threw a cat in a trash bin. They also found the guy who posted a video of him sexually assaulting his dog NSFW Pumba Jeffery Larocque - Encyclopedia Dramatica and shared the information with his entire family including an aunt. Guess the assault took such a toll this kid was checked into a mental health clinic for suicide watch. My take is if you don't want to feel the wrath of 4chan don't post videos of you throwing puppies in the river or fucking dogs.

China did this once or twice too. There were pictures in China of a woman crushing a kitten with high heels and the Chinese netizens used something they call the "Human Flesh Search Engine" to track her down.

I'd never want to face 4chan's wrath, but I always approve when they bright to light disgusting humans like this. I didn't know that they'd help find the cat dumping woman.

They might act as an unruly bunch of adolescents, but I can't deny that sometimes, they come out and get the job done. It's a shame that they use this power for the lolz, most times. In this case? Kudos to them.

I love dilbert. 4chan is one of those things that would seem to be highly annoying to mess with, they wouldn't really be able to harm you but you would have to deny about 500 pizza deliveries and constant other deliveries.

Eh, I wouldn't kill someone over that, I do agree that girl needs a harsh punishment though.

Apparently she apologized for her actions, I call bullshit. If you need to dispose of pups or kittens, you don't post the deed on fucking youtube.

I think people just generally don't have a lot of sympathy for cruel people. If you get your kicks treating other people or other things cruelly, I just plain do not care what happens to you. You do not have my sympathy. I think they deserve the worst they could possibly get and unlike them I don't think that way because I enjoy it. I think that way because just desserts can kind of be a bitch.

And laugh while you're throwing them. Doesn't seem like she was against the idea. Also even if they were sick there's gotta be much more humane ways to handle it.

Jesus fuck. I only made it 'till she scooped up the second puppy. I feel sick.

I've heard that maybe they couldn't afford to take care of a recent litter of babies, so they had to kill them off less they starve to death, I'm not sure of too many other cost effective ways. Hitting them with a shovel doesn't seem any better in terms of having to witness it. Though I doubt anyone should be laughing and enjoying it, though I think for me it would be a pretty fucked up experience throwing puppies in a river so I not sure how I would react.

Not all towns are big enough to have animal shelters or have people willing to buy them especially if the puppies don't want to be split up.

I don't know, but interesting that you focused on that part of the argument rather than the fact that they may live on a farm in a semi remote part of the world where it isn't possible to donate or sell the animals.

Though I just figured maybe it is hard to split up a litter of puppies? I don't know I never had them I just thought I remember hearing that somewhere but clearly I am crazy.

-Edit, not all litters, just some (not that it makes me sound any less insane for that part of my argument).

the puppies don't want to be split up? what?
Some dogs don't take well to being split up. We adopted two dogs (sisters) who were rescued from a puppy mill because as soon as one was removed from the other, they'd whine and get really skittish/upset. When my doberman died, the doxin barely did anything for nearly a month, and spent the first two weeks wandering the house looking for him.

but they have enough money to afford an expensive video camera or cell phone to record that high quality video? Something doesn't add up there.

And for what it's worth... can't we sic 4Chan to finally go find Osama Bin Laden???

But what your saying is that in some way it might be reasonable to kill the puppies because since they don't want to be split up they might get upset? As much as a dog might not "want" to be separated from his family I really think he would still rather not die.

Fine I will give you that, but we don't know how they came in possession of the video camera, plus maybe their economic situation changed after they bought the video camera but before the puppies, so they can no longer support having them.

Whatcha talking bout willis? I am saying that if there is no way to separate them, ie they are say farmers and live in a really remote or rural part of the world, and no one will buy or adopt them. What choice do they have?

I don't see why the separation thing is an issue. Who gives a shit what the dogs want? That is so bizarre. My choco lab is a lazy pile and would much rather just stay inside and crap on the floor than go out. Fortunately I don't give a damn what my dog wants.

Dog's have no concept of death, but they do feel pain and fear. Those puppies were scared and in pain as the girl chucked them into a river. If she absolutely had to and had no other option, I support her need to "dispose" of the puppies. But, the fact that she picked such a cruel way to do it, video taped it, and seemed to enjoy doing it garners no sympathy for her from me. I don't know why American's always consider Europe (particularly Eastern Europe) to be so backwards as to not have local veterinarians. She most likely did have a local vet or shelter nearby that she could turn to.

You shoot it in the head. That's more humane than drowning it in a river. Not videotaping and laughing while chucking them into a river is a plus too.

Not that I support what she did, but.....don't dogs automatically know how to swim?

No.

And the "don't wanna be split up" thing is stupid. Makare focused on that part because it's the stupid part of that post. Of course the family might have troublesome circumstances, but "the dogs don't want to be split up" isn't a troubled circumstance. It's an annoyance. The dogs get over it, they form new attachments. You don't kill something to prevent it from being a little upset over not getting what it wants.

And I agree with what Chaz said. If they had to be killed, there were many better ways to do it.
