They've been sent home.
If this were a movie, the White House security that Major bit would be part of a plot to overthrow the government, and everyone would dismiss it except for some kid who would tearfully defend Major as being a Good Boy™ who must have had good reason to bite. In the third act Major would risk his life to save the hero and/or the President.

In another shot across the orange thing's bow, the next round of stimulus checks will be signed by an anonymous bureaucrat.

SCANDAL!!

Biden has gone home to Delaware three of the eight weekends since taking office.

(The same house he's gone home to on weekends for the last 50 years.)

President Joe Biden has witnessed an unprecedented growth on Wall Street in his first 100 days in office, better than any of his predecessors going to at least Dwight Eisenhower.
...
"Biden's first 100 days have already delivered the strongest post-election equity returns in at least 75 years, due to record fiscal stimulus and despite heavy use of Executive Orders," JPMorgan Chase strategist John Normand said in a note. The results are "not bad for some [former President Donald] Trump labeled as Sleepy Joe during the campaign."

I can't wait to hear the same Republicans who said "You can't give Obama credit for the good economy at the start of Trump's presidency" try to claim that this stock market performance is solely due to Trump.

For years, my mother has said any Democratic economic gains were due to the residual effects of "Reagenomics", so yes, don't expect them to credit Biden for anything.

And it's all only because of the growing deficit, which is going to destroy your country.

Reading those numbers, there's still a ways to go.
On the other hand, the numbers are already miles better than they have been in years, despite growing influx. It's really weird how government agencies can suddenly work when they're being led by someone with more brain cells than the US has prison cells.

It's a shame that these things aren't making as big a splash as Trump's brand of crazy, but, nestled in this article, which is ostensibly about Trump:

The Pentagon on Wednesday swept away Trump-era policies that largely banned transgender people from serving in the military, issuing new rules that offer them wider access to medical care and assistance with gender transition. The new department regulations allow transgender people who meet military standards to enlist and serve openly in their self-identified gender, and they will be able to get medically necessary transition-related care authorized by law, chief Pentagon spokesman John Kirby told reporters during a briefing…. The new rules also prohibit discrimination based on gender identity.

I'm not catholic or anything, but isn't the pope supposed to be the direct line to God? So, if you're catholic, and disagree with the pope, shouldn't that trigger some kind of soul-searching to understand why you disagree with God?

You might not be Catholic, but you are American.

Only if he speaks ex cathedra.

But yeah, agreeing that the Pope is the supreme earthly authority in matters of faith is why Roman Catholicism exists.

Well, it certainly wouldn't be the first time.
