F'in NV, man. "We will take every precaution but we just gotta open up those casinos!"

I think there's something poetic in the fact that that states causing this whole thing to spiral out of control so badly, the ones that are really making Trump look bad, are Florida, Arizona, California and Texas - or FACT. Those were always his biggest problem.

Today is bubble day in Atlantic Canada, all four provinces can now visit each other. The inspection lines at the border are massive right now.

No thank you! We don't want any visitors, well wishers or distant relations!

"I've always been in favor of masks! Masks are great! We've got the greatest masks anywhere!"
- Trump, somewhere in the coming week.

POTUS saying he accepts masks is the only reason this is happening now. A lot of these Republicans do things on his whims because they know he sets the tone of their voters now. They make masks mandatory while POTUS says they are worthless? He just hurt his election chances in two years. These idiots won't carry out any actual needed safeguards until POTUS gives the okay sign.

Today, the Atlantic Canadian provinces - New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island - opened their borders to each other, created the "Atlantic Bubble." And this is the line-up at the NS/NB border.

EDIT: Correction, Newfoundland is within this bubble, as well.

Sometimes I really hate this place (country, county, city, state, planet - take your pick). Our local market is NOT enforcing the governor's mandatory statewide order to wear masks in public places. Their workers only wear masks if they're on the floor - if they're in the back rooms they take them off. How do we know? Because every time someone gets called up they have to pause at the door and mask up. Their vendors aren't wearing masks on the sales floor - these are the guys who work for Lays, Franz, etc.; so not their employees, but the vendors are working on their site, so it's their responsibility. They're not doing anything to turn away or even mention mask usage to people who aren't wearing them. They've disconnected their Contact Us form on their website, so it just bounces you back repeatedly, and the reporting line for OSHA only applies to employees. So... we can't report stores for violating mask orders.

And I still really, really don't get all this bullshit whining about wearing a mask. I've been wearing one every time I leave the house for the last two months, and I have no more problem wearing a mask than I do wearing my glasses. Anti-maskers are just bitches, if you ask me.

They really are just bitches. I barely even notice when I'm wearing my N95 anymore. I forget it is there.

I still miss my beard, though.

New strategy being presented by the "politicians" in DC is that the virus is here, it's not going away, learn to live with it. And it would be much worse if we didn't do what we did.

... "roll over and play dead"?

The EU has shown that it's perfectly possible to suppress the virus while maintaining some semblance of social and economical activity, while not being a complete dictatorship.

The virus isn't completely gone and we'll be dealing with it for months to come, but so far we're facing 1/10rh the deaths you guys are.

Ever play that game where whomever sees the license plate from furthest away wins? Canadians are straight up dialing 911 if they see a plate from the plague country.
