I loved this joke in Kung Fu Hustle as well.

And where the fuck does this artist think a horse's mouth is?

Information I am willing to allow to be shared here:

  • Erfworld will no longer be available as a free webcomic
  • The Erfworld facebook page has been removed.
  • Erfworld Twitter account has been disabled/removed
  • Erfworld book 1 will be removed from giantitp.
  • Erfworld archives are available through old links (missing the latest update)
  • Roughly 4% of users have the Heartstrings badge with access to more of the site and the news post.
  • Rob is not committing to making any more erfworld updates ever. He is also not ruling out future updates happening. However those updates would be restricted to Heartstrings members.
  • Rain or Shine donations will still be taken as normal (guessing that most Rain or Shine donors are Heartstrings members).
  • On Time updates will be collected if there is ever an update that can be considered on time.
  • If you cancel your pledge (rain or shine or on time update) it is assumed you want to opt out of updates
  • Rob will "actually tell you what's going on, without being so afraid" with Heartstrings members.
  • Shutdown is unrelated to a lawsuit.
  • Shutdown is unrelated to Linda's cancer
  • (Bad Thing #2) An adult family member in VA needed someone (Linda usually) to be physically there to handle an ongoing issue.
  • (Bad Thing #3) Linda's son, and Rob's stepson, died at the beginning of October.
  • Rob was experiencing immense mental and physical stress due to medical issues (allergies, dental issues, etc) and being apart from Linda so much before Bad Thing #3.
  • The combination of the last three bullet points led to Rob giving up on Erfworld.

So. huh, not sure how many of you guys still follow LFGComic, but they just revealed that Richard...

...was a woman. More specifically, "Richard" is the sister of the real Richard. The real Richard was sacrificed by their father and had his blood infused into the red crystal "Richard" wears on his (her?) chest. After her father also died in the ritual, the crystal then transformed her into the warlock we have been following since the comic started. Honestly was not expecting this to be the direction they would go with the reveal.

I'm not sure I 100% believe it yet, the bag dreams are not always 100% accurate.
I mean, we could have a 2 spirits 1 Richard kind of thing going on here.

I've been away a while so I'm not sure if this web-comic gets any love here, but I'd like to highly recommend it to any boardgame/pen&paper RPG lovers.
Up To Four Players originally started as a basic panel comic dedicated to boardgaming culture humor. A quartet of board gaming Israeli-Brits love the hell out of board games, support their neighboring (literally) game store, and have occasional encounters with a possibly-thieving grandmotherly neighbor and a time-traveling delivery service.

A few years ago the strip switched gears and started focusing on role-played adventures, ala Table Titans, where the comic switches back and forth from the table to the adventure at hand. What I love about this is that the creators of the comic are also the creators of the campaign world they are playing in. Crystal Heart for the Savage Worlds system. The setting is a world where humans are all born with stones for hearts that chisel and shape into the personality of that person over time. In the world there is an organization known as Syn that recruits people by removing their heart and adding a harness that can be loaded with a new heart: Crystals. The crystals are hunted by Syn and used to grant the users interchangeable powers. But with the powers often come personality quirks that players are encouraged to role-play, such as a stone-like crystal granting hardiness and stability, but also making the user seem to lack the ability to express any particular feelings beyond neutrality.

I especially like the Game Master choices that the character Nadav uses in the comics. He encourages all kinds of out-of-the-box thinking and never says no to the players. Whenever the players suggest something unique or even seem like they might be trying to find a loophole in the rules of the game, Nadav immediately tells them how much he loves the idea and lets rolls and or playing cards determine the results of their attempt.
The series also does a great job both entertaining and even teaching the Savage Worlds/Crystal Hearts system by bringing it up naturally as the story progresses.
I've never gotten the RPG myself but I've been considering it for some time. It's currently available in pdf as "pay-what-you-want" but at this point I feel like I should at least pay something.

When navigating the site, and you want to start with the very beginning comics, you'll have to select "Earlier Strips" under Chapters.

So if this one hasn't crossed your paths I highly recommend it. Currently only updating once-a-week but its typically the first comic I check for on Monday mornings.

Wow. I really like this comic so far. Good long-form ad for this game system.
Glad you’re enjoying it.

I rank this comic up with Gunnerkrigg Court and Order of the Stick in terms of how excited I am to read each page and see how the story progresses.

Today's oglaf made me laugh. So. Much. It's very nsfw, of course, but this humor is exactly my jam. Absurdism that takes the wind out of pretentious dipshittery.
