Just had a huge pack of little girls show up all Halloweened up. The last one was so tiny and cute and she told me how excited she was to be allowed to go trick or treating for the first time. I gave her extra chocolate bars.

I've reached the point where adult Halloween is no longer getting dressed up and drunk as fuck on the weekend before actual Halloween and is now when I love giving candy to kids.

Last year for Halloween, we seemed to remember having a good number of trick-or-treaters, and having very little candy left over. This year we had three groups of kids, for a total of maybe 10 people. We have soooooooo much candy left over.

Just discovered my digital camera has built-in Macro and SuperMacro modes and a 24x zoom lens. I mean, it's written right there on the lens, but apparently I didn't pay much attention and it didn't click until I was playing around with the settings and hit the flower icon in the menu. This is going to come in very, very handy - hopefully in the next 7 or 8 weeks.
