It touches on a point we discussed before the board reset -- how central Gamora was to the story. Thanos and the Infinity Stones are part of Gamora's background, and it was great to see the studio choose to go with the character that was dramatically appropriate rather than a character who was more popular. After all, it isn't hard to think of counter examples from other studios -- a Kitty Pride story that now is centered on Wolverine, or a Superman sequel that is all about Batman.

On r/marvelstudios, there's a running joke of adding the Immigrant Song to Thor's most epic scenes, such as his entrance into the final battle in Infinity War, his entrance into the fight early on in Thor 2, etc. Naturally, as Redditors are wont to do, they've been beating the joke into the ground:

Huh. I just realized something. Some complained Thor getting a hammer again in Infinity War undid his development in Ragnarok. Except...Odin said, "The hammer was help you control your power, to focus it. It was never the source of your power."
So Thor needed a new hammer not for more power, but for a new OUTLET for his power. He had plenty of power, but he needed something to help him focus it. Of course, it didn't help him focus on Thanos' head.

I've heard that too, which just raises more questions. A spoiler for what? Infinity War? Captain Marvel? The movie itself?
A title is partway a marketing tool, Disney. Sheesh. I guess they're beyond such things when a franchise is this successful.
I've said this before, but my two title theories are:
Avengers Forever - Since it's essentially the big finale of their 10-year build up and a send off to Downey Jr and Evans. It's the fourth Avengers movie, so it's a sly FOURever (hopefully they don't promote it like that, if so). And it could mean the excellent Avengers Forever by Kurt Busiek & Carlos Pacheco gets a big push in book stores.
Avengers Assemble - Appropriate because they've yet to say the team's battle cry. And it'll be members coming together to take on Thanos. And maybe a pun if we see the disappeared heroes reform or "reassemble."

I think it'll be Avengers: Eternity War.
Same meaning as forever, but also, plays off the Ultimate Marvel event of the same name (though it will have nothing in common with said event), plays off Infinity War, gives us the the Infinity/Eternity connection, and maybe even introduces the Cosmic characters of the same name, (doubt characters will make an appearance, but we could get exposition that introduces Infinity and Eternity in the abstract).
Dont think it will be Avengers: Assemble simply because that was already the international title of the first Avengers movie, and that would create confusion.
