[Movies] The DC Cinematic Universe - The David Zazlav Dumpster Fire.

Yep. It's even to such an extent that they're rebranding the films from DCEU (DC Extended Universes) to Worlds of DC.

Also, Henry Cavill shares your sympathies. Apparently, he wants to make another Man of Steel film, and the response he's been saying suggests he wants to capture that more hopeful aspect of Superman.
God, there might actually be DC movies I can feel comfortable bringing my nieces to see.

There was a long period where I thought that would never happen.

If they do Man of Steel 2 in a different tone, they should probably name it something else.

But I have no problem with Cavill as Superman. Justice League is a trainwreck, but it's a fun trainwreck, and the climax and first end credits scene show Cavill can totally pull off hopeful Superman.

Absolutely. I've never had an issue with Cavil's casting. He's a GREAT choice. It's the material he's had to work with that I had issues with. And having actually watched the last 5-10 minutes of Justice League (thank you, YouTube), I can agree with that sentiment. If we'd seen more of THAT Superman, I would've been happy.

Oooh, that works both in canon and as a statement of intent differing from the other movies.
Similar to the theory that Avengers 4 will be called Avengers Forever. Which I'm in all support for because it's a great title, is a pun with "4," (as long as they don't call it 4-Ever, which I doubt they will), and references the amazing Kurt Busiek mini-series of the same name.

I liked the trailer for Aquaman more than Shazam, but they're both drawing my interest.

Probably coincidentally, the Aquaman trailer is the one with the stunningly hot woman in the skin tight bodysuit.

Hey now, Shazam's bodysuit is also skin tight.

Julie's opinion and I agree: Aquaman looks like it'll be decent fun, but Shazam looks great.

It's a good thing we're skipping a bunch of movies this year, because 2019 is going to be expensive.

Which is honestly the PERFECT approach to The Big Red Cheese.
Makes me wonder, was BIG inspired in any way by Cpt. Marvel?

I mean, Elvis' suit where inspired by Cpt. Marvel Jr., so anything is possible...

@figmentPez Arthur Mackenzie was the name of the Aquaman/Namor fusion character from Amalgam comics.
Heh, i actually didn't know that, i was just making the Namor reference there.

I still don't understand what that has to do with the movie.
Sorry, I think Li3n was saying Aquaman has been written like Namor for years WHICH at times is kinda true.

It's more then that, at some point Aquaman just copied Namor's whole backstory as a human-atlantean halfbreed prince... of course it was only in the 90's that they also tried to copy Namor's personality... and got the stupid hook.

Hey! What if the trailer was edited to be intentionally misleading?

Like, it's not shown, but maybe Robin was asked what he'd do if he knew the world was ending at midnight.

Or maybe he was doing a Fuck Marry Kill, and they just showed the 1st part...

Honestly, if that line were part of something he was saying to the Titans, I could get behind it. "Fuck Batman, we can do this on our own," would be worlds different from saying "Fuck Batman" to a group of criminals.
