Former President Trump Thread

And every place I've ever worked had benefits right away. Maybe these things have changed since I was working smaller jobs, though. I will admit I've been corporate guy for quite a while now.
Every place I’ve been has been 6 months.

Plus sometimes when you switch jobs, you also switch insurance providers, which means any health problems you come in with are pre-existing.
Sorry, but this is incorrect. The carrier does not matter. If you had coverage through X insurance company and changed to Y insurance company, as long as there was no meaningful gap (again, I believe it to be 30 days) they have to cover the condition. This is not changing.

And actually the 30 days is about the minimum - it goes by state. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pre-existing_condition

No, I just know a lot about insurance. I think it's a fucking awful idea and will hurt millions in the long run. But it won't affect most people, just the most vulnerable.

I get that. You're doing pretty much exactly what stienman does regularly, correcting misinformation that he sees posted about an issue he knows or is passionate about, but he gets called a Trump lover for it.

I like when he offers his corrections, and you should consider my previous post a compliment.

“There’s a special place in hell for any foreign leader that engages in bad faith diplomacy with President Donald J. Trump"

That's what a White House aide said abound Canada's PM. I'm gonna pretend he meant that place will be a luxury box where Trudeau is served ice cold maple beer and snuggle with 72 Ivankas while watching Trump get tortured by devils.

...I suddenly have this image of a certain famous incident in Stanley Cup playoff history, where Trump would play the part of one E. Lindros and the Devil in charge of torture would be one S. Stevens...

So turns out Trump just loves to rip up papers and letters he does not like, forcing his staff to carefully tape them back together, as they have to be put in the presidential archive by law.

Heh, can you imagine the future museum visits by students...

"And here kids, we have the correspondence of Pres. Trump!"
"Why is it all taped together?"
"Err..."

It’s like the rest of the world saw the opportunity to start treating us like Bart Simpson was his first day at the Enriched Learning Center for Gifted Children.
On the one hand, I applaud that they are all seizing this rare opportunity to win concessions for their respective homelands. I mean, it’s what they do.
On the other hand, this is going to mean YEARS of work that future (hopefully more competent) Presidents (plural!) will need to put into rebuilding relationships.

So . . . should I be worried that, when Trump takes his army men out of Korea, he's gonna think placing them along the Canadian border is a great idea?

No.
Because then the soldiers on both sides will speak the same language (beer and hockey) and will figure out on their own that there’s not actually a problem.

Trump in regards to his statements on Kim Jung Un and whether he would go through with his promises.

“I may be wrong, I mean I may stand before you in six months and say, ‘Hey I was wrong,'” said Trump. He continued, ”I don’t know that I’ll ever admit that, but I’ll find some kind of an excuse.”

I don't know whether to clap for the honesty or cry because this is our president.

Well, the one thing you can't dispute Trump fans on is the fact that "he tells it like it is!"... too bad they're too dumb to actually understand what he's really actually saying.
