Aaand it’s gone.

Huh. Yep. Yep, it is. Maybe the licensing rights hadn't actually expired yet or something.

Well, here's a reupload from the old version, back when Gametrailers.com was a thing (who I suspect have the current rights)

I know, right? Usually your imgurl posts are gone in a day or two, but this one was what, only an hour or so? Some algorithm must’ve just been waiting to pounce on that.

Been watching videos of that new Dragon Ball Z fighting game. Everyone sounds so off. Funny that the Abridged voices are now the ones I hear and the actual dubbing voice cast sound like knockoffs.

Example.

Also, this game looks rad as hell.

God damn do I fucking hate Civilization IV: Colonization. Buggy - I've had to quit three games because upon loading, the tutorial gets stuck in a loop. "You can build a pioneer!" "Okay, I'll do that." "Pioneers can improve your land." "Yes, I know. I've got one, and I'll make another. Can I get back to the fucking game now?" "YOU CAN BUILD A PIONEER!" "SO FUCKING LET ME YOU CUNT!"

I got an email today to pre-order Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire. I think some might be looking forward to a sequel to PoE.

On this one you're on a ship.

My only issue with this is the fact that there are 3 levels of preorder. The first gives you the game. The second gives you the game with soundtrack, an in-game pet & item, as well as a digital map and guidebook. Okay, that's fair, I guess. But the third also gives you 3 DLC with new areas, items, quests, etc. So why the FUCK is that not in the fucking game?!?

Fuck preorders and fuck this shit. Guess I'm waiting until it comes on Steam for cheap. Greedy fucks.

Is it current DLC or future DLC? Because selling future DLC is really just a season pass or w/e.

The fact that they already know that there will be 3 tells me they already know what they are and have them close to done if not done. Most season passes merely state "upcoming DLC", but this one specifies the 3 already. This is more day 1 DLC bullshit and I won't cotton to it.

Season passes usually mention the number of intended dlcs, because this number is usually agreed upon by the publisher. They'll publish x game as well as y number of planned future installments. I appreciate the enthusiasm to cry foul over dlc, I'm right there with you, but it looks like this may be a bit early.

Yeah, I'm already backing them back when it was up on Kickstarter (or through their own site? I don't remember).
Anyway, they did the same thing for PoE. It's not Day 1 DLC, it's DLC they want to make and will put hooks in the game for, but hasn't been made when the game ships. It's not abnormal to already know what direction you want to go in with your story before you publish, quite the opposite.
I mean, I'm not getting the DLC, but still.

Having finished three runs of Planescape: Torment, I found myself wanting to talk about the game, and so I went onto the Steam forums. I don't know why I expected there to be more intelligence there than the usual idiocy, but I did. I mean, PS:T is kinda an intellectual game, focused a lot on storytelling and there's not a lot of action.... No, it still draws in the same idiots.

There's the psychopath complaining about how he's bored of talking to NPCs and doing fetch quests, and wants to know if he can softlock the game by just murdering NPCs at random. Why would someone buy PS:T if they don't like reading story?

There's the clueless who has somehow managed to get to a major plot point in a hidden location... without finding a single place to rest, and without finding the mage trainer (when he wants to be a mage). You literally have to walk past the mage trainer's house to get where he is complaining of being stuck, and you can rest at the mage trainer's house. I don't know how this guy managed to get through Baldur's Gate 2, Tyranny, and Pillars of Eternity. (Oh, and this was on Reddit, so that's not getting any smarter players than Steam forums.)

There's the power gamer giving terrible advice to newbies. No, it's really not the best option to level up fighter to get those bonuses and then switch over to the class you really want and grind until you get that class to where you want. Grinding in PS:T is going to bore most people to tears. Not only that, but you'll just end up playing the game as a fighter, which is not the same thing as playing the game as the class you really want to be playing.

More from this guy. He clarified that he doesn't think you should play normally until you level fighter to 13, he thinks you should grind to get it. In the opening areas there are abishai that are non-hostile until you engage them. They're tough for low level characters, but not impossible to kill (if you've got a magic weapon). However, to get to level 13 you'd need to kill over 140 of them. And that's if you dump all your other party members. Which you probably wouldn't want to do, because then you'd need to rest more often and buy healing items because The Nameless One can't tank very well. So you keep Morte around, and then you've got to kill 280 of them. That's probably 5 hours of grinding. Very boring grinding.

This is some of the worst new player advice I've heard in a long time. Especially for a game like PS:T where combat is blah and the real draw is the story and character choices.

There's this guy who apparently remixes Undertale music using the sound of objects around him. Like, "Death by Glamour" on a propane torch.

Or, Bergentruck/Asgore on his cat.

Do you remember the days when you could frame-step a YouTube video? I miss that. Asgore is ashore.
What this mainly does is remind me that I haven't seen any videos from Lasse Gjertsen in a long time.

Do you mean move forward or back frame by frame? Because I can still do that with the comma and period keys.
