@WasabiPoptart

I recall doing duck and cover siren tests in elementary school in the early 80's.
Really? The most we ever did was fire drills and the occasional bomb drill (same thing, but it took longer).

I imagine with your connection to the military there may be additional stresses involved.
Since Aussie is retired I don't have to worry about him, but there are plenty of people on island and on the mainland that I'm concerned about.

I'm sure you're going to spend time discussing this with your kids - I don't know what the best advice is for how to reassure them and what mental tools you can give them to help them feel safe and capable of handling likely possibilities, though, but please give it some thought and ask them how they're feeling to make sure they don't store anything unresolved for long.
My daughter's school conducted a drill today. It's surreal. Neither of them seem to grasp the situation other than there are threats that we're preparing for. Just like tsunamis.

Those Christmas balls made me want more. I used my birthday Michael's gift card from my parents and I went a bit insane this afternoon and I now have all kinds of awesome stuff that will hopefully let me make my own glittery Christmas Pokeballs.

Introduced @Squidleybits to Omegle tonight, funniest and fastest 180 turn in history.

"Stop wasting her time, she's trying to earn a living."

became

"OMG why would she be abusive to a potential client like that? What the hell is she thinking?"

You know what... I could totally see that. Except, like you said, I don't think Kags is quite THAT smol.
Good excuse to post this Popura-senpai version of another infamous clip...

I'M NOT SMALL!!
Honestly, I enjoy the idea of smol. I'm 5'3" so I'm not that tiny, but I adore tall people and the idea of hugging a tall person and only hitting their waist. LIKE. GIVE IT TO ME.

I'm 6'7" but I think @Dirona would have words with you @LittleKagsin if you were to do that to me.
Haha, no worries. I'll keep my hugs to myself.

Just a reminder that Kags has hung out with DocSeverin, so the rest of us would be subjected to THAT basis for comparison :p
And he gave me a hug!! It was lovely. He was very sweet.

My boyfriend in high school was 7' tall. I'm 5'2". Kags can now be jealous.
Forever bitter.

Some people stop growing when they're 17 or 18. A 7-foot high schooler might just stay at 7 feet tall for the rest of his life.

I think I stopped growing when I was 14 or so.

I don't talk to him now, but he's FB friends with other friends and I'm sure he's fine.

I'm like 6 foot tall. Which is supposed to be slightly above average.

But every where I freaking go, I'm surrounded by people 6'2 or taller.

I never actually feel slightly taller than average.

Though I did hit 5'11 by my freshmen year, so for a brief moment, I was taller than most of my peers :)

Meanwhile, my friend that does my hair is 6' tall and she constantly laments how short most men are.

I get freaked out when I'm taller than other adults, it just feels wrong.

I programmed my alarm to play "I Got You Babe." Even when I hit snooze.

Those of you who get the reference may now worship me like a god. Not *the* God. Just *a* god.

According to Back to the Future and these ads for Hulu's Future Man, black pop stars can't become famous unless some white guy from the future shows them how.
