Of course he could have handled it better, but the refs weren't going to do anything about the cheap shots or the taunting when he was buried under piles of defenders. Seriously, the amount of people who were worshipping Mayfield as the second coming of Favre and Manning before the crotch grab and then talking about how he just destroyed his entire career after it is mind-bogglingly large. Has anyone ever seen an NFL game? Recently? Guys sailing through the air backwards across the goal line while grabbing their crotches. Guys grabbing their crotches after kicking a field goal. Guys grabbing their crotches after a long run. It's all crotch grabs, all the way down. And swearing at the other team's bench? Seriously? I get it, it's unprofessional and crass - but if this is the sort of thing we're going to keep guys out of the league for, while we suspend them a game or two for drunk driving or 6 games for domestic abuse, maybe we're looking at all of this wrong.

I don't watch the NFL. I hate all their antics. I don't think it's funny or entertaining. I don't really want to see that in college ball. I especially don't want OU to go back to it's Switzer days. I'm not really upset by this; I just don't like to see it. I am surprised that it is getting this much attention. His press conference afterwards was like he had run someone over.

That would be a travesty.

Not as much as a 13-win Wisconsin not getting the automatic berth in the semifinals, mind you...

EDIT: I think the only way Bama gets in would be if TOSU wins, OU blows a gasket against TCU, Clemson beats up The U, and Auburn is unconvincing against Georgia.

Otherwise, enjoy the Cotton Bowl, Sabes.

The only way that map could get any more Badger Red is if we face and beat OU and Auburn - which I don't think will happen?

Looks like you called 3 out of 4.

To hell with the playoffs, I'm having a lot more fun watching the coaching and AD carousel of doom. Y'know, right up until the time that one of my coaches gets poached.

Sam Houston won last night and will host the next round of the playoffs again next week. But we have a total lack of Defense. So the first real team we will face will cream us pretty badly like last year.

Y'know, it's gettin' real hard to defend the Pac 12 against the cupcake comments when they fail to show up for any of their bowl games. Real hard.

And they lost. Blew a 19-3 lead and is the embarrassment of the Big 10. Again.

Fuck Michigan.
Yep. I'd say it was the one time I was willing to cheer for Michigan and all that, but honestly, I'd rather they were a good football team, since so many other teams measure their success based on whether or not they beat Michigan. But hey, the B1G did a hell of a lot better than the Pac.
