Krisken's art stuff, previously all 40k miniatures

Had an excellent game of X-Wing yesterday, playing 100 points. Made a ton of mistakes and ended up paying for it in the end (kill the stuff which is easy to kill first, then knock out the tugboat). Still, had a lot of fun!

If Episode VII manages to return my love and interest in Star Wars I'll have to give X-Wing a try. I looked at ST: Attack Wing since I heard it's mostly the same game but with Trek, but man those ships look like garbage. Really disappointed with WizKids for those.

A couple of weeks ago I played my first game of 40k. 525 points Orks vs Dark Angels. It was a Maelstrom of War mission with tatical objectives, and I had a lot of fun. Now I just need to pain more, so I can stop looking at grey and monotone minis.

I was talking with my fellow X-Wing player about Attack Wing on Saturday. He says that AW is more of a slug fest and less about maneuverability. Personally, I LOVE the way the dials work and how important they are to the game/tactics.

Oh, and did you see the ships for the Scum faction they'll be bringing out? Yes, a third faction!!

IG88's ship and Prince Xizor's ship... so cool! The Mandalore ship (second from the right) looks pretty awesome too.

Yes. They've already released the Z-95 previously, but this one is an alternative paint job and is going to be part of the scum and villainy's Most Wanted pack which will have two of them in addition to an alternatively painted Y-Wing and a new Boba Fett set of cards for the Firespray.

[DOUBLEPOST=1409011117,1409010899][/DOUBLEPOST]But WOW! Xizor's ship looks fantastic!

The M3-A looks great too.

And IG-88's ship.

Well, it finally happened. I've decided to give my 40k minis to a friend of mine. Everything 40k or Fantasy will be going with him. To be honest, it's a bit of a relief as it's just taking up space now.

However, I am getting Star Wars Imperial Assault as soon as it is released (base game is $70 preorder at Cool Stuff Inc) and will be painting those minis, which look fantastic. It's been a long break and I can't wait to get back to painting minis I'm passionate about.

Not really sure as they don't talk about it anywhere. If I had to guess, 1/30?

And yeah, the detail on these is fantastic. The faces on the officers could be a little better, but other than that, spot on.

Never expected to be painting a GW property again, but picked up the game Forbidden Stars put out by Fantasy Flight. Since they come in very basic colors, you know I just had to do something with it!

Went pretty simplistic with it, but I'm happy with the results. There are a LOT of models with this game, and I'd like to get it painted quickly.
