Rock/Fast Running Music

So I'm starting to really get back into running. I ran 7.2 KM (about 4.4 miles) in 46 minutes yesterday. I got a playlist on Google Play marked "Running," but it's a bit hit and miss.

The real hits for me, that get my legs pumping and make me want to run faster include:
-I'm Shipping Out to Boston, by Dropkick Murphys
-Machinehead, by Bush
-Baidtdaba, by Kid Rock (especially for pushing up hills for some reason)
-White Trash Millionaire, by Block Stone Cherry
-Invincible, by Adelitas Way

Most especially, though, is Hell Yeah, by Rev Theory. Every time that hits, I say something like, "Fuck yeah. Let's tear that pavement!"

So, I'm looking for suggestions that are relatively close to that song. Not bands, because that might include having to go through several albums, and I don't have the patience for that. Nothing too "dancey," death metal, or with excessively vulgar lyrics.

I usually run while listening to podcasts so I can't offer much, but personally I prefer music with a beat that matches my workout run cadence. So find your favorite song's bpm and look up songs that match it at sites such as this or this. For example "Hell Yeah" has a bpm of 168.

I tried asking this on Facebook, but everyone's just "HERE'S MUSIC I LISTEN TO WHEN I RUN!" or "HERE'S A BUNCH OF DEATH METAL THAT DOESN'T EVEN HAVE A SIMILAR BEAT!"

I'm probably being too picky, but literally every suggestion (and there have been lots) doesn't work for me.

Have you tried putting those songs on a playlist in pandora and see what other music it suggests? I've found when I'm trying for a particular vibe or feel, pandora does an excellent job parading music past my ears to choose from.

Just tried.

Not available in Canada. :(

Pandora isn't available in Canada short of running a VPN. Haven't found a music source that recommends things quite as well, either.

Nick, couple possibilities:

Also, how do you feel about grunge? Soungarden or Alice in Chains might be a good fit, but I don't know how familiar you are with them.

If I heard their song on the radio, I might recognize it, but I wouldn't know who it was by. That basically sums up my knowledge of music in general, really.

I added Give it All. I'll test it out in a bit (going for a run shortly). Seether's been recommended to me a few times, but it's one of those songs that starts out AWESOME, but then slows right down. And I don't want that. I find Rage Against the Machine is especially guilty of this.[DOUBLEPOST=1499112603,1499112472][/DOUBLEPOST]

A lot of those so-called high BPM songs are anything but. Like, how is THIS comparable to Hell Yeah?

So let's say you count the beat like so: 1 and 2 and 3 and 4. At 168 you might take a step on the numbers. At 84, you take a step on both the numbers and the "and," doubling your tempo.

-edit-

There's an app that matches your music to your run cadence, but I forget the name now. Someone recommended it to me years ago. -_- (useless, sorry)

Alien Ant Farm

Jimmy Eat World

Franz Ferdinand

Yellowcard

Autopilot Off

My Chemical Romance

and, well, just about anything by The Offspring

Egad, is it 2005 in here, or is it just me? :D
