Former President Trump Thread

That's already delayed until after the holiday. So maybe something big on the Russia front is coming?
Maybe it's just because he's a dumb, senile old man who can't handle anyone criticizing him for anything ever and has the job that guarantees criticism more than any other.

There's already noise about, that Mitch is going to pull a Friday Surprise and bring the vote back up when people are more worried/paying attention to the holiday weekend.

Millions of Americans rely on protections and coverage from the Affordable Care Act, or Obamacare. The Republicans new bill will gut these protections and many will die. They deserve to know it. Fill out our form and we’ll help you get papers in order to send your ashes to a GOP member of Congress if you pass.

Victoria Brownworth is one of the shittiest "journalists" out there and is part of the reason why that word is now more often in quotes than it isn't. Pay her no mind.

That is what 35% of the country chose to be President. An insanely fragile manchild who envisions himself literally beating up the media that's critical of him.
Since those same supporters wanted reporters executed, just beating them up is an improvement.

To @LordRendar: Repealing Obamacare without a replacement would be a hard loss of insurance for tons of people. The current republican plan will have about 22 million people lose their health insurance, doing a repeal with no replacement will be 32 million.

To @Denbrought: The president of the united states thought it to be appropriate to post a meme using footage from from his pro-wrestling days (which yes, the president of the united states has), implying that he will assault the media. This is because he is a child and this country is trash.

but you said "What is this I can't even" - and then you explain what it is? You can, even!

Christ. Is it time to use the 25th Ammendment or what? Should we really fear Pence? Would the Republicans actually be less incorrigible and incapable of governance? If anything, it would divide them more and they would accomplish nothing.

I think Pence is less likely to spark an international incident.

Or would at least be apprehensive of making the same errors as Trump in foreign matters, even if deep down he felt the same as Trump about it.

He'd probably still refuse to shake hands with Angela Merkel, but it would be because he'd be too uneasy if his wife wasn't in the room.

What is this I can't even.
This is an interesting response after the CNN coverage and such.

Did CNN commit a crime against the author of the video? The highlighted part above where CNN says "CNN reserves the right to publish his identity should any of that change." People are saying this translates to "CNN will dox him if he doesn't stay in-line from now on," which Assange quotes some of the NY criminal code on.

I'm not a fan of Assange (he's successfully been character assassinated. I don't know what to believe on him at this point), but I don't see anything factually inaccurate with what he quoted.

You're probably correct. CNN really should've just released his information. Forget trying to encourage change on his part. He'll just make a new account and go back to his old bullshit.

Note to all: @blotsfan is apparently 100% OK with doxing.
Doesn't Wikileaks play the same "do what we want or this info get released" game?
No idea, but I'd argue that CNN is a lot more powerful than Wikileaks, and thus it's more important to hold those powerful to account than those relatively less powerful. Ideally both, but we don't live in an ideal world. In such an ideal world, we wouldn't NEED to deal with either, because abuse wouldn't happen.

But by definition bad conduct happens, and thus I put more importance on holding CNN to account than Wikileaks. And I'd say that CNN is being abusive here by threatening with doxing.

I'm long past the point of believing there's a meaningful separation between online life and "real life" and I'm sure as hell not going to shed any tears if a news organization reveals that someone who's made national news and is promoting anti-Semitic propaganda online. If you get fired from your job for being a bigoted piece of shit, you deserve it.
