Funny Pictures Thread. It begins again

I think that VR app, or one like it (rollercoaster-type thing) was my first VR experience. I'm glad I was already sitting in a chair because my brain sort of freaked out. Not as bad as when a shark ate me but...

I don't think that's funny at all. If I had a friend make me freak out that much, they wouldn't be my friend anymore.
I would probably avoid people who pulled pranks like this on me as well.

Still, I find it humorous and can't stop rewatching it. It gets funnier each time. - the level of disorientation the person in the headset must feel, the person whose prank turned into a much bigger problem than they intended and they're struggling to recover from the prank so the person they pranked wouldn't get hurt, the other observers who realize what's going on and are trying to think of how they can help. The headphones flying off near the end.

The more I think about it, though, the more interesting it gets. The person wearing the headset isn't fully cognitive of all the people trying to help him. He was knocked off balance by an external force, but he can't see what's happening in the real world, and the continued "assistance" the person attempts to provide probably just adds more confusion and anxiety to what the person in the headset is already feeling. Others are anxious to help, but they don't know what to do or how best to help, and even if they did, due to the headset, chances are good their attempts would be perceived negatively from the perspective of the person trapped in the VR world.

But that's too depressing for a Friday afternoon.

So I laugh, instead*.

*This works for presidential elections too.

Okay, but, he gave the guy a nudge on his back. He didn't kneecap him or anything. My siblings and I did stuff like that to each other all the time. We still do it when we get together.

Once I literally put a step-sibling through a wall. Dad was not amused.

And everybody knows about the time I shot a friend in the face with a roman candle. Granted, that was accidental, but I think it illustrates the differences some people have in their thresholds for this sort of stuff.

My older brother once put a wooden matchstick down the barrel of an co2 gun, aimed it at me and fired. I reflexively threw up my arms, and ended up with a matchstick embedded about half an inch into my forearm muscle.

I did not take it in the spirit of "it's all good fun".

On the other hand, when my little brother was 3 or 4, we used to fold one corner of the mattress back and launch him from it. My mom was horrified when she caught us, but we all thought it was hilarious and fun.
