Whats for Dinner?

They were super slimy at our store as well. I soak them in a bowl of cold water for a bit before cooking. In the corner is a steak lol I like mine well done and small.

Zha Jiang Mian ala Strictly Dumpling (aka added diced potato and used Shin Ramyun for the noodles). I left out the slivered cucumber because I was hungry after work and wanted it NOW.

Yesterday I made experimental muffins:

Coconut, chocolate chip, and coriander.

The experiment was a success, though not unqualified. They're tasty, though I'm sure not everyone will like them, but they're not very well balanced. I overdid the coriander, and while the coconut works very well, the chocolate is merely okay. I think maybe cinnamon, black pepper, and other spices next time.

The only thing you can have on July 2nd: Hot Dogs and Poutine.

I will admit that the only thing we cheated on was the curds; we went with sliced string cheese, mostly because the selection of curds at the local grocer wasn't appetizing.
