Funny (political, religious) pictures

To quote one of my favourite bands:

[To explain my rating, since it didn't come through clear enough] Is it a reference to Bohemian Rhapsody, or is there a song with those lyrics? If so, what is the title/artist?

Ah. It's a song called Stick to Milly by 54-40, a Canadian band probably best known for their song, I Go Blind, covered by Hootie and the Blowfish.[DOUBLEPOST=1465155831,1465155715][/DOUBLEPOST]Also, I think I need it explained to me how that line could be a reference to Bohemian Rhapsody.

The meter of BR's opening coincidentally matches that of the phrase.

I wish I could see what a "relentlessly gay" lawn looks like.

The way it's typeset makes it look like Mad Libs.
Your yard is becoming Uncomfortably Fresh!

This is a Carnivorous area and there are Children.

Pray tell, how long must we go without a shooting before its ok to talk about taking steps towards preventing the next one? Is it just going to be a case where they just happen too frequently to ever do anything out of respect?

Actually the problem with these shootings (aside from the tragedy and death, of course) is that every time they happen (and we already know more will happen), those vultures @stienman speaks of will come flapping down to roost, each claiming that if only we would do the thing THEY say, if only we had the measures that THEY recommend in place, the horrible tragedy could somehow have been avoided.
And the secondary tragedy is that enough people might still be so emotionally distraught that they will believe these vultures, and go and do something stupid.

There is nothing wrong with intelligent discourse before, during, and after these tragedies. Discourse intended to prevent them from happening again, or ever.
There is everything wrong with jumping at the first thing that comes along claiming to be the cure. That's how snake oil salesmen work, and it's how we get things like the 2001 PATRIOT act. Road to Hell, etc., etc.

While we've argued about this on this forum before, at length, perhaps this time I'm able to better convey what that picture is actually saying, but rather than derail this thread I've put it here:
