But specifically Texas? Because we were driving through Texas at the time. Not that I'm surprised by the other states, I'm just wondering if it was the same one.
Groom, couple in Houston, couple in Dallas, one going up in Kerrville and one planned in Corpus Christi. Possibly others, but not that many considering the size of the state. They're all built by different people, for different reasons.

It's actually quite common to see Calvary or crèche displays or iconography by the sides of highways. Some people feel that to be an appropriate way to demonstrate their faith and/or solicit converts.

It's always wierd to me to see the word "Calvary" when it ISN'T a misspelling of "cavalry."

Had a contest winner come up to claim tickets while I was covering the front desk while Underling 1 is out at a doctor's appointment.

Winner's name is Elizabeth Lemon.

"So if I make a 30-Rock joke, you've already heard it, haven't you?"

"Yes," she sighs wearily.

I'm a bad person.

A Facebook friend of mine, female of course, recently lost her father. She posted several photos of her with her dad, in memoriam. I "liked" all of them, but only because she looks really hot in every single one.

I am pooping at menards right now. I'm pretty sure I have pooped at every major retailers store in town now.
They hate him on the show floor.[DOUBLEPOST=1460728384,1460728347][/DOUBLEPOST]

Okay, so at my work we go down every day and play ping pong. But since I hadn't played in years I was the absolute worst of the group that plays. We've played for months now and even though I've improved, so have the other guys. I've won a couple but am consistently at the bottom of the rankings. But I'm also competitive and fucking hate to lose, so last night I bought a new racket (I only paid $30 - you should see how expensive some of these things are!) and went to the Omaha-Metro Table Tennis Club to play and get some pointers.

The doors opened at 6 and they play from 6 to 10. I got there right at 6 and was the first one in. I spoke with the guy who runs it and about then people started trickling in. All told there were probably 20-30 people there. I stayed from 6 to 8:30 and MAYBE 3 people spoke with me. It's not that they were not nice people, just that they were not there for table tennis (NOT PING PONG!!) social hour. They were there to play and get better. And to get ready for tournaments. Since I am a novice, I was ignored. I could not help them improve and they were all so much better than me that they would have to seriously gimp their games so that I wasn't just steamrolled.

Were I even a little socially awkward it would have been a humiliating experience. As it stands I was really intimidated, but I'll go back just because that's the kind of shit that I refuse to let beat me. I might get steamrolled, but I will improve.

So she shared photos of her dad that best show herself off...
Well, photos of happy times with dad. I suppose she's one of those girls who's prettiest when she's happy and smiling.

And yes, I realize I've managed to find new ways to be creepy, which is why I feel I'm a bad person.

I remember back in college, my friend insisted that "frisbee football" was the worst abomination released on the world since Hitler. It was correctly called "Ultimate".

Okay, maybe I'm exaggerating his reaction a little. Just a little.

Today is Jackie Robinson day. Many players will wear his number.

It reminds me of a story I heard the other day. There was a death threat against Jackie at some stadium. The police and the Dodgers were wondering if he would go out to play...

One of the white players said, "Hell, we should all wear 42 that way the shooter would not know which one to shoot at."
