Where Do You Stand? (2016 Election)

Interesting tax calculator projects your tax increase/decrease if all the candidate's policies were enacted.

Apparently I'm too wealthy for Bernie, so he'd be taking an additional $14k per year from my earnings.[DOUBLEPOST=1460553724,1460553416][/DOUBLEPOST]
she'll probably appoint enough Supreme Court justices to keep the country from sliding too far back into the 1950's in our lifetimes.
She's a corporate capitalist and regards the corporate lobbyists economic opinions highly. It's interesting that you'd be fine with that as long as she says she's a social liberal.

Too bad we don't have any sort of voting record that actually shows she'd support social liberty as strongly as you'd suggest, but I'm guessing she'd focus more on economy, and that means propping up the big corporations, which suggests judges that may not be as liberal as you'd like.

I'd say it's too early to tell what kind of justice she'd appoint.

It is interesting that enough of society is living so well that social issues are seen as so important, versus economy, jobs, security, food supply, transportation, etc, etc, etc.

About half that for me. If I had to pay that much more in taxes I don't know what would happen. The vast majority of my take home pay goes into my mortgage, car payments, bills, food, student loans, and my business. Losing $300 from each paycheck would be rough. Of course to some I'm one of those filthy rich entitled cis white males who deserve nothing in life and couldn't have possibly worked for or earned anything they have. I mean fuck me for spending six years in college, paid for by student loans and the United States Army, working towards a degree that actually holds value in the real world. And to have the audacity to take a large chunk of my income to open up a small retail business? So fucking gross.

I need to go out and get me some kids... But I doubt they cost less than $5,300 a year.
Estimates vary, but this article suggests $12k - $15k per year.

You'd have to ask @LittleKagsin, I think she leases one from the biggest US manufacturer.
Yeah, but we can get her a deal because we work in volume. We're running under $10k per kid per year. Even though we've been able to control costs, we still live on 4.5 acres in a rural area with a garden, so this qualifies us for the labels "Free range" and "organic". We're still working on the GMO free label, but we're still using chickens that have been scientifically bred for hundreds of years to lay an egg a day as a portion of our food source, so they are significantly genetically modified from the pea hens they originated from anciently.

Why do you keep them as friends?
Because assholish behavior isn't 24/7? Because it's possible to respect someone and enjoy doing things with them even if you find part of their beliefs repugnant? Because sometimes circumstance forges a bond that wouldn't normally exist between two people?

If I wasn't willing to overlook their racism and religious hypocrisy, I wouldn't have a family, period. Should I cut them out of my life being assholes?

I guess to me an asshole is someone who treats other people like shit. Being around people like that brings me down, and I do not enjoy hanging out with them.

If I realized that y'all were just talking about people with douchy beliefs, then, well, I'd understand. . . although I am rather inclined to avoid that coworker who thinks the Egyptian pyramids were grain silos

The more I hear about Colorado caucuses from friends I have living in different counties, the more I am convinced that caucuses are the biggest fucking shit show ever created.

I can't wait to see the stories from my friends that are going to the state caucus this weekend.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. The republican convention is going to be an absolute shit show. It will be contested and they will vote in Cruz. Trump, then, will go independent and fuck the shit up.

Assuming they don't try to sneak in Kasich. Which they want to do.

A four-party election?
Cruz and Clinton win their party's nominations, then Sanders and Trump go independent to try and siphon off votes? That would be amazing!

I had about 8k more with Bernie, which is around what insurance premiums for me cost.
