Games on SALE!

PSN is having a Resident Evil 20th Anniversary sale ... it's pretty much everything you can think of: main titles, Revelations, Chronicles, Operation Raccoon City, DLC, old, new. I think the only thing not on sale is Resident Evil: Director's Cut for the PS1, but the HD version of the Gamecube remake is much better, and that's on sale.

I snagged Resident Evil 2 and 3 for $1.49 each.

I think I'll buy the Star Wars Humble Bundle 2, even though I bought the first one last year, so I'd get duplicates of KOTOR 1 & 2 and Empire at War Gold Pack.

For those of us living years behind the times because most of our game time is on a phone, Limbo is $1 for ios today. I might finally get to play this!

Singularity is on sale until the 21st for 7 bucks and change. Jim Sterling and I agree that it's a pretty good FPS, or was 6 years ago. So if you missed it, this is a good opportunity to pick it up.

Short summary: It's a story-based first person shooter with a time manipulation angle that borrows a lot from Bioshock.

If anyone buys the Humble Mobile Bundle 17 I have a question.

Bundle includes:
- Prune
- Framed
- Battlestation: Harbinger
Beat the average:
- Frozen Synapse Prime
- Lara Croft GO
- Sorcery! 3
- more to be added
Pay $6 or more for:
- Grim Fandango Remastered
- Desktop Dungeons

All of these are Android only, no Steam, Windows, Linux, or Mac versions.

My question is: For the Grim Fandango soundtrack, is it the basic 37 track version, or does it include all 51 tracks of the director's cut?

Also, Steam has midweek sales on DC Comics titles, among their many other sales.

Sega Strategy Humble Bundle

"Pay $1 or more for Company of Heroes Complete Edition, Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War - Master Collection, Medieval II: Total War Collection,Rome: Total War - Collection, SEGA Genesis/Megadrive Strategy Pack (Shining Force, Shining Force 2, Gain Ground, Columns), and a coupon for 10% off Humble Monthly for New Subscribers.

Pay more than the average price to also receive Valkyria Chronicles, Warhammer 40000: Dawn of War II - Grand Master Collection, Eastside Hockey Manager, Total War: Shogun 2 - Fall of the Samurai Collection, and a coupon for 66% off Football Manager 2016 in the Humble Store.

Pay $12 for all of that plus Total War: ATTILA and Company of Heroes 2: Master Collection."

I think its completely worth it for the CoH 2 master collection which has ALL the expansions, and Total War: Shogun 2-fall of the samurai collection.

Steam has a sale on Lego and Ubisoft games this weekend.

I keep wanting to get some of the Assassin's Creed games, but the earlier ones (1 & 2) NEVER go any lower than 50% off. I check them during every sale and that's as low as I've ever seen them go. And I'm sorry, but for older games like that? I won't pay $9.99 for them. If they were 75% off, I'd get them in a heartbeat. And yet, Assassin's Creed IV is 75% off. Of course, its regular price is also higher, but I feel like that's a little slap in the face.

It's all probably because Ubisoft offers them on uPlay and likely for cheaper during their sales. Ugh.

Entirely my personal opinion, and I'm a big Assassin's Creed fan, but I'd say AC1 and 2 are worth ten bucks each. Maybe 2 more than 1, since 1 can get a bit repetitive, and it's clear they were still trying to figure out their formula. But 2 is outstanding.

See, if they were physical copies on PS3 that I could trade in after? I'd probably agree with you. But for a digital copy of a game I'll probably only play through once? Not really worth it to me.

I don't know if anyone else has been waiting for a sale, but Games Republic has Rocksmith 2014 for $7.49 (no cable obviously). Considering this software goes for $50-$60 normally, that's a huge discount.

2 Brother hood is the best.

If you're going to play any AC game, make it one of the Ezio ones (anything based on AC2 or AC2 itself). He's by far the most interesting of the main characters, and, at least in AC2, exploring the world feels pretty good, control-wise.

I don't think AC1 is bad, but being the first game it had a lot of ideas without the refinement some were given in the sequels. Always felt a little rough around the edges to me.

Run away from AC3. Run away and don't ever look back.

Eh... while I agree that AC3 had its problems, I would still say that it's worth playing at least once.

But then again, I'm a rather shameless Assassin's Creed fanboy, so please take my opinion with however many grains as salt as you feel appropriate, possibly depending on whether you have blood pressure issues.

Connor was such a whiny manchild to me that I couldn't relate to him at all, and I found the real life part of the game boring as hell. I gave up about 10 hours in.

Did you get to the part where Connor and Haytham are working together? Because I absolutely agree that Connor's a pretty lackluster protagonist by himself. But for some reason, when you put Connor and Haytham together, their interactions are gold.

Don't think so, but this was a few weeks after release so I can't remember for sure.

I'm posting this one because I really loved Brothers. Beautiful game, with a nice gameplay gimmick. If you've got a gamepad (I don't even know how you'd go about playing this with a keyboard) then I'd recommend this one highly.

Just wanted to throw this out, but since today,Good Robot is for sale on Steam. It was (co-)written and made by someone whose blog I've been following for about 10 years. Check it out; it's on sale for the first week.

Okay, someone explain to the non-gamerish me why I should get Tabletop Simulator from Steam, now that it's on sale this week.

So you can play secret hitler with us, as soon as I convince everyone they need to play it.

Also, you can play just about any boardgame online with it.

Wait, must we ALL do what you say? I mean, I'm okay with that, but I wanted to make sure it wasn't exclusive to the Figster. And if so, what order do YOU give me?
Haha, let's see. :unibrow:

The fist thing that came to mind actually was to force everyone to play mud volleyball because now that the weather is nice (here) it sounds like a fun activity for a group. So, final answer, mud volleyball. Do it.
