Whine like a baby, now with 500% more drama!

Weeks of stress and exhaustion culminated in an significant argument between my wife and myself (argument might not be accurate - I didn't do much talking). This has led to me trying to determine some basically fundamental things about my personality, and potential disorders contained within, that are really difficult self-assess. I don't want to ask her help, if only because I don't want to let myself get mad if she answers something in a way I take wrong, and I'm hesitant to start the process of searching for a therapist again, because it's a huge pain in the butt matching conditions with insurance, and I think I would need an actual psychologist this time.

tldr: I'm broken in a well hidden way, but it's hard to tell how and who I can get help from.

Hugs and bro-fist. Keep hammering away at it, with or without outside help, and see what you can do to improve your relationship over time (which should help you both to trust* each other more). You'll get better, don't get discouraged, the fact that you can see it and think about it is a great place to begin, or restart.

* I wish there were a trustier word for trust, a more intimate version, not just a "trust exercise" but a deep feeling of total and complete lack of barriers. Intimacy is probably it, but too many people tie it into physical intimacy alone, without approaching the emotional and other intimacies that "complete" trust includes. I don't know. I can't afford a therapist, so I'm probably mostly going in circles anyway.

The word I usually use is "surrender," though that has its own distracting connotations as well.

We are in the middle of a wild blizzard. My flight is clearly not on tomorrow morning. Every other airline has cancelled. I was forced to book with shitty old Westjet and they won't cancel. I called customer service and they're all let us rebook you!!! Yeah with added fees no doubt. FML. Because they won't cancel I now have to pack and get ready for a trip that's not happening.

My office must be participating in #WasteHisTime2016 because a delayed opening does that and only that. I know there are people in, the buses are running normal schedule, but I can't just go in on my own volition because last time I did, I was told not to do so again. The soonest I can get away with that again is next winter.

Well. 3rd lost bid on a house now. This time it's because the seller--whose house has been for sale for 4 months--rejected my offer and came back with one that was only $2000 off asking. Uh. No. I walked away.

Well, my brain woke me up two hours before my alarm, so I only managed to get 4 hours of sleep, but this is not a super terrible thing as my parents will be here in 24 hours and I need to get the house to the semi respectable state that my parents still consider "trashed" so they don't realize how much worse I actually am at cleaning.

Guys...I'm freaking COLD! Yesterday morning it was 52! I think I read that it broke previous records for low temperatures in the area (not the state because the mountains get a lot colder). I'm wearing a sweater in my house atm.

It was supposed to be the second night of my weekend off. Instead, I'm having to scramble to dig out from under 4" of snow and counting because I may end up being the least stuck of the front desk crew and have to go in anyway.

I love 55 degree weather. The humidity here has also been unusually low lately, it's drying me out, I wake up at night desperate for water >_<

When I am King, all you people living in winter warmth will be dragged off by doomweasels to that Gulag known as Ralph Wilson Stadium.

Eh, don't worry, it's cyclical and balanced... when summer comes around and we're griping about 112 degree heat, all you eskimos can chortle at us from your balmy igloos.

Even with the blizzard, this has been a pretty easy winter. I'm not a big fan of being cold, but it hasn't hit extreme lows and the streets are clear, so ehhh.

I think I'll put in a formal request with whoever is in charge of buying the air wick refills for the building to please switch to a scent selection other than "rotting pecans." I've been fighting it my darnedest with a "Passion Punch" candle, but that doesn't help closed off portions of the building, like the men's room... which unfailingly smells of a neglected, overwatered pecan orchard every time I go in there.
