Funny Pictures Thread. It begins again

I came to Firefly from the other angle...my ex-wife was a huge fan, totally a browncoat, whereas I couldn't be bothered to even care.

One year, I got us tickets to see Serenity for a birthday present--this was the opening night tickets, where the place was packed.
Anyway, we got there a little late-ish, because we got the tickets in advance and had guaranteed seating, and I don't like sitting through 20 minutes of previews.

My wife and I ended up getting the last two seats and had to end up sitting across the theater from each other (and I had to threaten to beat the shit out of a group of teenage kids who kept telling me the last seat in the auditorium was "taken" when it was clearly the last open seat in the room), and it was full of rowdy fangeeks 10 years younger than me, so I settled in to put up with the 2 hours of agonizing bullshit, away from my wife and next to kids that I already wanted to beat bloody. All in the name of love and birthday presents.

After the show, when we got home, I made her get out all of her firefly vcr tapes and watched them all back to back. heh.

The funny thing is this looks more like the way Tolkien describes the ring's invisibility in the books than the movie's complete disappearance. The ring in the book made you virtually invisible, but not completely, still being visible as a thin shadow in bright light.
