My whole thing though was really about how coloring books are far more socially acceptable than looking at my phone, for some hypocritical reason. ;)

As much as I hate to be contrary (I couldn't keep a straight face), I kind of feel that way. You're still socially accessible when you're coloring. You're present in the room. The phone sucks you out to this netherworld.

Okay, is it just me or it weird to have someone control someone, who has passed away, else's Facebook and make them keep posting pictures and liking things? Is it just me?

Let's back track here. My grandmother passed away a few weeks ago and as far as grieving goes, most of us have come to terms with it all. But someone in the family has control of my grandma's Facebook and logs in, liking posts and pictures. I think it's weird, like I'll all of a sudden get likes from my dead grandmother and I don't...know. But I guess if it's how someone grieves I'll leave it alone. It's just unsettling to me I guess. :S

No, it's not just you. That's definitely creepy. I'd be upset if it were me. It's one thing to keep her memory alive, it's another to impersonate her.

If you send fb a copy of the obituary they will make it a legacy page where it's there but no one can log into it

Hahaha, my mom has been trying to get my son to do some homework for the last hour, and now SHE is coloring in my coloring book. This may be the sweetest victory of my life. [emoji14]

This is why I like having family parties at my sister-in-law's. "I'm going to go walk your dogs" is a perfectly good excuse to disappear for an hour or so. "Sorry, lost track of time in the woods". Between the dogs and the kids, I hardly have to socialize with adults at all on that side of the family!

When twitter friends are trying to avoid the political discussions, I'm passing on @WasabiPoptart's advice. Then they may think it's a movement. And that's what it is. The Wasabi Poptart Anti-Wingnut Movement. And all you gotta do to join is sing it the next time it comes around on the guitar... with feeling.

If my downstairs neighbors must toke up for Thanksgiving, I'd rather it was pumpkin spice weed. Instead it's skunk weed, so the hallway smells like someone hung roadkill from their door for the holiday.

"Hi just want to let you know that you dont have to dress up fancy for the restaurant we're going to for dinner, but make sure to look nice."

"Ok, I'll wear a polo and khakis."

"Is it a solid color? You have to look nice for this place."

"I'll figure it out."

"Ok, I just wanted to let you know it doesn't have to be fancy."

Thanks grandma.

Ha ha yeah, my office christmas party is at a winery and requests "business casual."

Like, have they SEEN what I have worn to work for the last 12 years?

I thought that was the standard Hawaiian uniform. Like hockey jerseys and toques in Canada.
Nah. That's only when you dress up. Standard uniform usually depends on your resident status, ethnic background, and military affiliation although slippahs (aka flip flops, sandals) and a Hydro Flask are typical for all.
