The Cons have 3% more votes than the NDP so far.

NDP: 17 seats (also so far)

Holy shit, we're heading for a Liberal majority.

Good to know Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba have both decided to be completely irrelevant to the next 4 or 5 years of policy making in Canada.

  • Legal Pot, presumably recreational too
  • Not wanting party politics solidified forever through Proportional Representation like the NDP did - I'm all for something better, like Single Transferable Vote, but not PR as most have it. It only solidifies party politics.

  • Another Trudeau - hold onto your hats Alberta & Saskatchewan and probably Newfoundland, it's probably not long before he's after your oil too.

  • Who's actually in control of the party/government? It certainly isn't Justin, so who is it? Look at the list of people his former head of staff said to lobby to. I think that's closer to the mark.

That's the reason I voted NDP (I held my nose while doing so). They were the only anti-TPP party. I didn't like a lot of what else they had to say, but the TPP is just horrific. And the Liberals... yikes. Backroom deals. Probably re-institute no financing limits - aka re-legalize overt bribery, or at the least let anybody advertise, which is basically the same as PACs and SuperPACs in the USA, and we all know how bad that is. And I just don't believe that Trudeau the younger is in control. Quite frankly, he's not old enough to have the contacts, so who did Canada really put into power?

4-5 years of this? Ouch. I just hope we're standing at the end of this. Hell, I hope I'm proven wrong!

Canada does fine under Liberals. They might be dirty (no more than the Conservatives), but they govern fine.

Also, Trudeau is only 3 years younger than Harper was when he became Prime Minister. The age thing is so overstated.

If the 90s taught me anything, it would be that a Liberal will SAY anything to get into power, and then DO what their masters tell them to. That hasn't changed from what I've seen.

Not age to govern, age to have actual power within the Liberals. That party is RUN on corruption and influence. Yes he has the name, but I highly doubt he has everything else. Thus, he's a puppet.

Knowing that Prince Trudeau is not well-liked in caucus, I suspect that Ralph Goodale will be Finance Minister and the one to control much of the ongoing work of the party. I'm reluctantly okay with this. Trudeau is the face of the party, Ralph is the brains.

The first rule of Gamergate is no single specific person speaks for Gamergate, no matter how ardently they claim it. Same as feminism, really.

That said, Trudeau probably doesn't have even but the slightest passing familiarity with the issue in question, merely what he's heard third hand through someone who saw something on a major media outlet, where the professionally offended like Sarkeesian are the only ones getting any time.
