Whine like a baby, now with 500% more drama!

By coincidence, I had a song in my head for about a month that was bothering me and I just figured it out yesterday. It was this. I don't know how these things work.

My tv broke. This has happened before, and my mom was able to fix it by finding an obscure part, but its been a few years so I doubt I'll be able to find it.

Welp, single again. Won't be an "on again" this time around. And I'll probably remain single for awhile. Not going to join any dating sites this time like I usual do. And not gonna bother looking.

Stuff happens.
Stuff's gonna keep happenin', too.
It is the way of things.

Sorry things wouldn't stay better for the both of you.

Videostream Mobile's method of building a "video library" is infuriating. Rather than just browse via samba (windows explorer but not in windows) like every other goddamned android app on the planet, you have to add folders to your library in the videostream chrome app on your PC... and then the naming conventions come into play.

And they're horrible.

It only recognizes files as being part of the same show/season if they follow the name.s##e##.ext naming convention. Soooo if you've got a bunch of old video files that you, say, pirated back in the heyday of IRC video piracy, and their names are something like Name episode 105.ext or god forbid they put the season and episode before the series name, it doesn't MATTER that they're all in the same folder, Videostream treats every. single. file. as a separate series that gets its own entry in the library.

So the library looks something like this:

Cowboy Bebop (26 episodes)
Critic (2 seasons)
Critic 102 marty's first date
Critic 103 Dial M for Mother
Critic 104 Miserable
Death Note (2 seasons)
Futurama (7 seasons)
Ghost in the Shell (26 episodes)
Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex 27
Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex 28
Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex 29
Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex 30
Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex 31

etc.

It's maddening, and fixing it is so tedious... it'd just be easier to redownload each whole series all over again with a torrent so that they have uniform naming structures.

Lily woke up before 7am screaming because her leg was hurting. I thought it was a cramp or even growing pains. Now we're thinking she strained her quadricep muscle when she was riding her bike last night and nearly fell. We alternated heat and ice, gave her ibuprofen, and tried having her slowly move it. Still in pain by lunch, so Aussie took her to the ER. I'm waiting to hear from him.

Strained hip muscles. She's on crutches. The medics thought they wouldn't have them small enough for her, but found a pair. My kids need to stop hurting themselves!

I've worked 12h shifts every night this weekend. Yesterday: came home, woke my girlfriend, made her bag, made her sandwiches, put them in a bread box. "Oh no, I'm taking this purse, a bread box won't fit. Put them in a plastic bag". Drove her to the subway station to save her 2 minutes' walk. Today: come home, wake girlfriend, make her sandwiches, put them in bag, "oh no, I'm taking the same purse but I'm leaving these other things at home so I'd prefer them in a box".

I had a really, really awesome one I thought of on the drive home a few days ago.
Wish I'd written it down or something.

I hate when that happens. Or when you think of one, and have this inspired line of thought about it. But then by the time you sit down, the magic's gone.

I am really disliking iOS 9, Apple. Every year you push me towards Android and Windows, despite my constantly defending you. iOS is slow on my iPad Mini and my iPhone 5 (as in I can see the animation frames on fades and dissolves), and Safari has stopped working for a number of sites. Including this one. I can no longer reply on my phone or iPad here. I can type, but clicking "Post Reply" does nothing. The button presses and changes color, but now nothing happens.

I had that happen in Aviator on my PC also. I don't know what the deal is, but I suspect some sort of Javascript thing.
My biggest beef right now with iOS 9 is that I can no longer view the process list.

Today was my first day of work since injection round 2 and by the end of the day I could hardly walk. It feels like there is a crack in the joint and it's burning and horribly painful even lying down. I took my pain meds two and a half hours ago and nothing!!

Tip of the day: When the "New Software from Apple" alert comes up on your computer, DO NOT INSTALL ITUNES. It will only lead to pain and suffering.

Followup whine: Software B is very, very crash-happy. Just lost an hour of work due to yet another crash. How this pile of shit became an industry standard I'll never know.
Followup to the followup: Oh for fuck's sake, now this thing is refusing to save my file. What good is a translation program that doesn't save?

iTunes for Windows comes with Apple Software Update, which periodically phones home to check for updates and new software.
Right, I just wanted to verify that your specific situation involved Windows.
I would uncheck the iCloud Control Panel unless you plan to use it, though.

Today I started this awesome C++ discussion on StackOverflow that was netting me so many fake internet points.

But then I realized that I had made a stupid mistake, and I deleted the question. Bye bye fake internet points.

I should really resist the desire to snuggle my poor, sick, miserable children, because now guess who gets to sit home alone tomorrow while sick and miserable?! Meeeeeeeeee. I'm only speculating, but the sore throat and runny nose have just started.

You know if that's the case maybe you should GET SOME SLEEP perhaps?

I think I caught something while I was at the ER. On the plus side it's just a respiratory something. On the minus side, I don't feel good and I don't have time for this!
