EDIT: for @Bubble181 and any others. The standard size for a liquor bottle in the US is 750ml, which is usually referred to as "a fifth" since five of them equal a gallon.

it was once again the Dr Seuss connection I didn't make. And, indeed, it has been posted before, and I didn't recognise it then, and someone explained, and I knew that, and I still couldn't quite remember. Dr Seuss is a very American thing that doesn't exist over here. Cultural connections etc.

That's a shame. Dr. Seuss was quite talented. He had a way of presenting fairly philosophical concepts to children through simplistic rhymes. And also slipping left-wing or progressive messages into children right under parents' noses.
Is it a restaurant for dolls?
