New Picture Thread

Alix took this while we were at Cora's (chain of breakfast-themed restaurants) this morning. After we'd spent the night at a hotel suite (with jacuzzi!) to celebrate her birthday.

(The tear was because I naturally and uncontrollably get teary eyed in cold or chilly weather.)

One of my oldest and best friends is fighting breast cancer right now. She started chemo therapy recently and is starting to lose her hair. To give her a little moral support, I'm doing a little something:

Let's call this picture, "Before."

(Lookin' kinda nervous about it.)

And we'll call this one, "After."

Seems like all of my phone pictures are either wiring closets, wildlife, or my cats... So here's two snaps of my cats, with me in the background.

Hey! Everybody! I spotted a wild @Denbrought post! They've become increasingly rare, but apparently still around. Should we post guards around it 24/7 to prevent poachers from killing it for its horn?

(aka: hey, long time no see, how've you been, nice to see you around, etc)

So what do you do when you're on the opposite side of the world? Find a local Bhamv3!

The Z family just had some coffee with the lovely Mr. & Mrs. Bhamv, who were kind enough to take some time out of their crazy schedule for us. We also found out we have a strange family connection: Bhamv's aunt was the host of a tv show Mr. Z used to be on! Small world!...okay, small island.
And " Uncle Bhamv" was nice enough to spoil Li'l Z with some chocolate, so I think he has a friend for life.

Indeed, @Celt Z and I snuck out in the middle of the night to meet up for drinks at a seedy bar.

And by "seedy bar" I mean a franchised coffee shop in a department store.

And by "the middle of the night" I mean 4:15pm.

And by "snuck out" I mean with the full knowledge and presence of our respective spouses.

Still though, it was nice to meet her (my first time ever meeting someone from the Internet!) and we had a nice chat about life, the universe, and why Taiwanese girls insist on wearing long-sleeved clothes in hot weather.

According to my body-clock, it WAS the middle of the night! (It would be 4:15 am if I was at home.)

And those girls are insane.
