[TV] Winter HAS COME! - A Game of Thrones

Good. The series surpassed the books a while ago and given the last two books were a huge step down in quality, I am happy the series will complete it. Not sure I can read about more food and tertiary characters.
Say what you will about the last books, but the show felt the need to change "Only Cat!" to "Only your sister!" because, what, people are too dumb to remember what her name was?

Not even to mention that it's a crime that Peter Dinklage won't be saying "Where do whore go?" next season... and i was so looking forward to that.

On the other hand i do have to give it to them, the best change they made was Hound vs Brianne... while covering Bitter and Rorge, which was nice.

Colour me conflicted i guess.

I'd rather read what happens in the books because the show can fuck off, but I think even if I stopped going on Tumblr, the spoilers would eventually be plastered on even news article titles about the show. We may get through book 6, but there's no chance book 7 will be out before the show ends.

Just move to a deserted island... inside a cave, where you built a sound proof box...

But look on the bright side, if they took out the Ironborn plot the show will be very different from the books at least until they start the big war vs the white walkers.

If they took out the Ironborn plot, the books would improve too :p

Really, because, to me, it seemed that the ironborn plot was the only thing actually moving forward faster then a snail in the last two books...

Then again i did read all of the books one after another, so i wasn't so invested in having the other plots move forward as someone that's been waiting since the mid 90's...

I hope Martin does something important and/or significant with some of the characters that were killed in season 4 who didn't die in the books.

I think these two will be this generation's "Ginger or Mary-Ann?"

[DOUBLEPOST=1428594596,1428594264][/DOUBLEPOST]For the explanation.

Ginger and Mary-Ann

Still not enough explanation. So...They sort of look like two other actresses from a long time ago, from another show I can't identify...?

I don't understand how anybody ever picked Mary Ann over Ginger. I mean.. look... Ginger![DOUBLEPOST=1428594877,1428594861][/DOUBLEPOST]

The only two young, single women on Gilligan's Island.

Considering they're, what, 15 and 17 in that picture, my mind didn't immediately jump to "who'd I rather screw". Ok than.

So... anyone want to discuss anything? :whistling:

...

Im just kind of sad that Bronn won't be taking over any noble houses now...

Still have to watch S4 and S5 isn't airing here yet, have read the books though. My "spoiler" tag isn't meant negatively, but still. While the TV show was behind the books, "we" reached a "consensus" (aka "Jay nagged until we gave in") to put book stuff behind spoiler tags. It might be a good idea to start putting TV show stuff behind spoiler tags as well, as the seasons start to pull ahead of the books. And/or edit the thread title to mention there'll be clear spoilers.

So uh, how did the first 4 episodes of the season already end up out there in the world?

Sommun fukked op.

Man, there are gonna be some fired ass sons a bitches at HBO today.

Welp, I'm out. Thread was fun, but Bubble brings up a good point, and since it's impossible to know what show events will be future book events, book readers can't innocently watch the show reactions for pain anymore.

If you're not eating a bucket of fried chicken during tonight's episode out of respect for the dead, you're a vegetarian.
