@Adam I do okay 1 on 1 but in groups I just sit there, I'm easily intimidated - I was intimidated by you even.

It's like when I'm on vent and so are a bunch of other people, I barely say anything because PEOPLE.

I totally want to do a big cosplay meet up, but I probably won't travel to out of area cons until my daughter is older, because my husband has no interest, and I have to drag him kicking and screaming to Denver Comic Con. (Which is 4 days over Memorial Day weekend this year >.>)

I am also shy. In the event that we both end up at the same Halforums meetup, I propose we sit in two different corners of the room and just sip our drinks in silence.

Also, we should make sure we don't sit in opposite corners, because otherwise we might end up having a staring contest.

I'm not shy, but I am very aware of how boring I am. I'm definitely better on paper/screen than in real life.

I have the opposite problem, with all but a very select few people I am terrible one on one. Group settings are where I shine.

Fear of intimacy I suppose.

I'm not shy. I'm just not good with groups. I either feel like I'm interrupting conversations or that I don't get a chance to talk until someone is already changing the subject. I'm better at listening than talking anyway.

We'll be there January 11-15th. The best days to meet, for us, would probably be the 12-14th, but just let me know what works best for you, if any!

During the week is tough because I'm usually 9-6:30 on those days, but I'll be in Santa Monica and could probably just drive and meet y'all?

If you're able to get there even for, say, just dinner or something, it'll be my treat. I wouldn't want you to go through any craziness if your schedule won't allow it, we go to disneyland a couple times a year.

I'll actually be visiting back home (SF Bay Area) from Dec 17th-Jan 2nd. Don't know if you'd want to grab a beer/say 'hi'/meet up somewhere along the way, but I didn't realize another Halforumite was semi-local to where I used to live!

Definitely! That would be awesome, whereabouts are you gonna be? I only ever go to SF for a concert or show, so I'm not too familiar with the city itself, just the surrounding areas lol.
