This guy has a more optimistic hope that things might turn out for the best.
Not only is there a Jem and the Holograms movie on the way (with some of the main parts already casted), but apparently Molly Ringwald is going to show up in it.

No, that sounds more like Warner Bros. and DC's department.
That doesn't make sense at all. The Avengers was hugely colourful, with each of the iconic characters wearing different, bright colours.
Other reports indicate Marvel wanted big phase integration and Wright wanted a more standalone film.
Honestly, that would be the best guess on what happened, considering that Edgar Wright and Marvel had been developing Ant-Man prior to the major success of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
From what I understood Ant-Man wasn't supposed to really tie into anything anyway, and if anything was going to be the first push of the Phase 3 movies. Still though, really sad to hear this as I just watched Scott Pilgrim again the other day.

The red and blue Power Rangers have both aged noticeably, but look pretty good for guys in their 40s. The black Power Ranger doesn't look like the march of time has fucking touched him. That guy is 43 years old.
And tasteless joke of the day, the yellow Power Ranger has definitely aged the poorest of them all.

This whole business with Marvel is a little disheartening. I hope it's just a slight bump in the road and that they keep on making great films.

Well, it all really started with the money issue and RDJ, but that seemed to get resolved. I guess we'll see where things go from here.
Let's face it, marvel had made a few really good films and a lot of okay/cookie cutter films. They need to step back and realize quantity doesn't mean quality. I don't have a problem with them wrapping up at Avengers 3. This couldn't go on forever.
I imagine it will be like "Josie and the Pussycats" which I adored. I'm pretty stoked about this movie!
However, they ran a contest for fans of the series to get cast in the movie, and said they really wanted true fans in a few of the roles. Some people went all out with their online "auditions," only to have them cast some young Disney stars. It's definitely not a bad thing that they have established actors in the role over some "normal" people, but it was just weird for them to give essentially false hope to these Jem fans.
ANYWAY, I'm excited.
I imagine they'll do Avengers Academy or something after Avengers 3... or just have an entirely new team with cameos from the old one. They certainly have enough material for a few years.
Oh, I'm sure it will end there.
Then it can all be rebooted with new actors and slightly different scripts.

Wow. So, the Warcraft movie has finished shooting. I never thought it'd get this far.
But don't stand in line just yet. It's set to release March 2016. That's a loooooot of post-production. ILM is doing it though, so should LOOK good, if nothing else?
