[TV] The Walking Dead

Great great great episode. So much development for Carl and Michonne.

I love how nearly all the Carl scenes were lifted directly from issues 49 and 50 of the graphic novels.

Michonne has taken on a life all her own and the dream sequence was just so powerful.

I fucking DIED at Carl eating that huge can of pudding with a dumb grin on his face while the walker reached for him out of the window. Great scene.

Actual conversation during the episode.

Friend: Is he going to eat that whole can?

Me: Fuck yeah! Victory pudding!

I affected a guttural death growl and snarled "Hey! Hey Kid! Gimme some of that pudding! Hey! Just a little. I'll give your shoe back for some pudding! Hey!"

My friend and his family thought it was pretty funny.

I've read all the comic book issues so I know about Michonne's background. I was happy to see the show finally offer a glimpse.

When the top-down shot started at the beginning of the episode, at first I thought we were getting a flashback to the tank Rick was stuck in at the beginning of season 1.

As said, great character episode. Carl mentioning Shane was exactly what I'd been waiting for after the end of season 3.

The herd slowly gathering to walk with Michonne was creepy.

I really do like those top down shots the show does on occasion.

That's kind of vague, but okay. I'm surprised you're still watching into season 4 if you have a problem with the characters. I couldn't get past three episodes of True Blood because I hated every single character.

I don't really hate the characters but I am indifferent to a lot of them. I'm mostly into the show for the zombie gore. I think it's mainly a problem of going through all the different show runners though. A lot of characters I wasn't sure who they were and why I should care if they live or die. (T-Dog, Lorrie, Andrea, Alcoholic Dr.Guy.). The ass kickers in the show are all fun to root for though (Dale, Michone, Guy with Hammer whose name escapes me) so I stay with it.

In the comics, one of the twins ends up getting really screwed up. He tortures and kills animals before turning on people. I'm thinking Lizzie (the bunny killer) is going to be the sociopathic twin. She's probably the one who dissected the rat back at the prison.

Have to admit, WD was boring the first half of the season. I mean, really boring to the point I wouldn't even watch it on the same night it aired.

Since the break, the last 2 episodes have been great. Almost as good as it used to be. The fact they don't have 230823890328932 guns and unlimited ammo and "named" people actually died, sits well with me.

Feels more as it should be.

Yeah I liked that them killing walkers didn't feel effortless in this episode. Even Daryl and Glenn showed some fatigue fighting them which I did really like. Great past few episodes.

Doesn't seem like she's taking long to move onto humans. Almost started this very episode.

As a comic fan I'm super excited about three things:
One was said in the episode: SANCTUARY is coming.
Second was shown but not said:
Abraham's group!
and the third was said in Talking Dead:
Negan is very close

As far as the episode, it was another amazing character arc episode, there were plenty of times I screamed out at the screen again, something I do when I'm really into a TV show/episode.

It's been about a year and a half since the outbreak happened. I think that any remaining nomadic group would be entirely composed of assholes and sadists.

Wouldn't be surprised if those guys were remains of the group they dealt with in season 2.

Rick's scenes--fuck, I was biting my hand. Not sure I like this whole

Fix this mess

angle, but I'm willing to ride with it.

Well, that's only assuming the mullet is telling the truth.
