Games on SALE!

I'm alright for now. Actually, I'm going to wait until next months PSN+ games for when Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen is free for that sort of game.
Dragon's Dogma is sort of where Dark Souls meets Shadow of the Colossus. It's a lot of fun but it's got even less in-game documentation than Dark Souls and they really expect you to learn what means what fast. Also, try to find out if your friends are getting it... using their pawns is often cheaper (or free) than other ones and they get rift crystals when you do it. This is VITAL when you get to the Dark Arisen content, as you need Rift Crystals to unlock the best equipment. An amazing, terrifying amount of them.

I know 3 guys who still play it hardcore, I'll not be sore for pawns when the time comes. I've given up on Capcom pulling their heads out of their asses and doing a PC version.

So, I'll take it for "free" on PS3.

Four more games have been added to the Humble Indie Bundle 9
- Limbo
- Bastion
- A Virus Named Tom
- Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken

I've played both Limbo and Bastion, and they are fantastic. Bastion alone is worth breaking the average for.

Good gods, even at twice the average, I feel like I'm stealing. I don't have any of these games and several of them are supposed to be excellent.

EDIT: Seriously, I just paid $10 for Brutal Legend, Bastion, Limbo, FTL, Trine 2, and some other stuff I'm not so interested in, but I now own and will play at some point. AND the soundtracks. One soundtrack alone would be that price! I should've paid more ... but the only reason I bought this is because I could afford it on my spending budget and still afford Pokemon.

Ugh, I need to wrap my head around this. It's too early in the morning for deals of this magnitude.

Today's Daily Deal on Steam is an early access game. I do NOT want to pay for unfinished buggy messes. I hate all these paid beta tests. I hope this isn't a trend for the Daily Deal.

Re: Bastion. I bought 3 copies back when HIB had it, one for me, two for friends. This year it will probably be my Xmas gift to them so we can experience it roughly at the same time.

Darksiders 2
Arcania Gothic 4
Red Faction Armageddon
Supreme Commander
Supreme Commander Forged Alliance
The Guild 2
Neighbors From Hell
Painkiller: Hell and Damnation (underrated series)
Spellforce 2

Be warned, they are only split into two separate Steam Keys so you won't be able to give away the ones you already have.

I always wanted to play the Painkiller series, but never got the chance. I think I own just about everything else in the bundle :p

Then games have finally been devalued to nothing then when 6 bucks for 9 games (many of which started life as 50-60 dollar full priced games) is considered underwhelming because it lacks some shitty dlc.

I think it's more that DLC has devalued games if their exclusion is enough for people not to buy them. I know I sure as hell won't be buying Mass Effect 2 or 3 until they release versions with all the DLC because I'd be paying more in DLC than for the games at this point.

See, it's not my fault that I know that the best value I can get is to wait for a Game of the Year edition. It's the developers and publishers fault for not dropping the price of DLC like they do with the games themselves. They've priced themselves out of the market.

I just don't understand the whole no DLC, well, these untold hours of entertainment aren't worth the price of a vente latte then attitude.

If there's ever been a moment when that entitled gamer label was appropriate.
