[TV] Talk about the last TV you watched, the catchall thread

I thought it was the pasta that was store bought, and the cakes were the only things she actually made from scratch... Well, anyway, I watched the episode last night. Stayed up too late, and I usually shy away from reality TV, but oh my God. I couldn't look away from that train wreck.

Also, on their facebook page, they are now claiming that they were hacked, and that they are having the FBI investigate.

The season finale of Arrow was its strongest episode yet. Hopefully they will tone down the family bit a little and do more action next season now that the relationships are established.

Season Finale of Supernatural ended on a cliff hanger that is basically going to change one of the major dynamics of the show.

All of the angels have been kicked out of heaven, except one... who's going to turn it into his own version of paradise. Not bad for a scribe.

This show can only have another season or two in it, but this season was much stronger than the previous two.

I've never watched Kitchen Nightmares.
After watching this, and based on the opinions this is the best(worst) episode ever... I'm not sure I need to watch anymore.
It's kinda like watching a youtube compilation of all the Final Destination series death scenes. I don't need to see the movies. I'm already seeing what I came for.

It had the craziest people, but he's definitely been to worse restaurants. Ones that are so filthy and vermin infested that it would turn your stomach.

You could watch the british version. Pretty much the same idea, but less reality tv style editing for reaction shots, and Gordon (who is naturally a very blunt man prone to yelling) doesn't keep his angry Scot face on all the time.

I found the first half of the episode on youtube. I find it absolutely hilarious that 1) They thought that their dip in customers was based only on the bad reviews they were getting and NOT as a direct result of how they were responding to those reviews. And 2) They brought in Ramsey believing that he would totally be on their side and tell the customers that they are stupid for thinking the food is crap.

Fun fact: My favourite episode of the Daily Affirmation with Scott and Kris was a discussion on the differences between UK and US Kitchen Nightmares. Back in 2007.

UK Kitchen Nightmares is a pretty good reality show and is actually kind of informative at times on the restaurant business and cooking!
What was even more frustrating to me about the US Kitchen Nightmares (at least in earlier seasons I haven't watched anything recent) is that between reaction cuts and "drama" you can see Ramsey behaving and handling things the way he did in the UK version. It's just masked by the awful music, sensational narrator, and reality acting.

My biggest peeve with the US version it's the use of that Dweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeooooooooooooooooooooooo sound effect every time someone is a dick or they find something gross. Drives me nuts.

The one thing I learned from watching the UK Kitchen Nightmares and the US Kitchen Nightmares is that we are fucking pigs in this country.

Surely, Frank, they can't trust us to infer and react based on facial expressions alone.

It's hard, okay?!

How am I supposed to play Bejeweled and text 8 of my friends while I'm watching TV if I have to look up every five seconds to see someone's nasty face?!

Fuck that noise.

Caught up with this season of Doctor Who. It's been okay I guess. This doctor is pretty corny, and it's hard to take any of the serious moments seriously. But it's still entertaining. Clara... whoa. Hot mentally and physically.

So did anyone see the newest TMNT? Cos damn it was kinda dark.
Pulverizer freakin' turned into freakin' Mutagen Man n' shit. And unlike in the original, he won't turn back to normal in the same episode.

Ok, when I first saw the trailers for the Green Lantern show, I thought it looked like hot garbage. Watching it now though, I wish I hadn't waited so long. It's pretty good stuff.

Too late though.

I know right? Did not expect it to be the awesome sci-fi drama that it was.

ARGH.

GRIMM.

SEASON FINALE.

TO BE CONTINUED.

AGAIN.

(though I did chuckle at the subscript "Oh come on, you knew this was coming" under "TO BE CONTINUED." But I'm really getting to hate end-of-season cliffhangers)

Since I spent most of this weekend in bed, I ended up watching the entirety of Arrested Development in preparation of Season 4. I need to rock out 4 now.
