Kags' Cosplay Thread

If you're willing to modify the catsuit, though, adding a few breathable mesh patches in strategic locations, even small patches, would help even more. Or micro holes.

(I'm posting this as a joke - not to be rude. =^^= I paid a fair amount of money for the suit and there is no way I'm touching it with my sewing machine.)

Thank you guys so much for all advice and I promise I will be careful and take precautions so that I'm comfortable in the suit.

D'aww, I was just going to suggest a high-up side split and some claw marks/rips on the back for cooling :p

That aside, looks great, I'll be in a faraway thread to avoid coming off as creepy :)

I worry about you guys sometimes.....
Worrying about me? I only suggested something that professional athletes wear under their uniforms for your own personal comfort. If I was "in your shoes," I'd be hoping mine wasn't a worry-some post...

Unless it's bordering on creeper territory... To which, I hope I kept it out of that area, as I kept what my initial reaction to the close up 100% in my head and not anywhere close to where my fingers would have added to my post... :D

I was more talking about Ravenpoe and Ashburner, but I was only teasing. So, don't worry ncts_dodge_man, you're fine, I know what under armour is and I didn't think you were creeping. :)

Well, good... Hate to think that I had to stop window shopping when I see a rather beautiful woman wearing clothing that looks like it needs to be appreciated. :D

Am I getting closer to creeping?:unibrow:

Couple of quick previews of Mikuru. I'll have more pic's in the next few days and will possibly have an Asuka pic or two tonight. We shall see.

In the mean time here are these:

And if you can handle Katy Perry....there is also this..:

I saw the video of you two lip-syncing earlier, and I thought it was fantastic. That must have been a lot of fun to film.

It was so fun!! I mean, I would be surprised if..other people liked it, it may be obnoxious, but we really had so much fun. =^^= Thanks Pezzle.

While the anime-stuff isn't really my thing (not a fan of most anime), still looks pretty good. You definitely have a lot of talent to be able to create these costumes.
I find it interesting, but the further I get into cosplaying, the less interested I become in cosplaying anime characters; I'm finding it's not really my thing either. :) But, thank you!

The best story about that costume is that I was so sick of it (my friend and I have been waiting to do a photoshoot of it for four years) I hulked out of it instead of taking it off. I seriously just ripped it off, and it was hilarious. There was almost a video of it even, but I wasn't wearing anything underneath so that was a no go.

this is all so good, I am sorry to hear you are not feeling anime, I always feel like its a medium for everybody if you can get past some of the japanese cultural stuff that pops up. I have become such a huge fan for the stories it allows to be told compared to a large amount of american TV that just turns me off.

But it is alright though, I still think you are cool!

I felt really bad over the weekend when my friends were talking about the new season of arrested development, i watched the first couple episodes before they were all getting together for a viewing party. The show was so far from what I would want to watch that I ended up not even going to hang out due to the show being too much for me.

I actually love anime just fine. I just don't want to cosplay from it, is what I meant. But re-reading my comment I sound like I don't like anime at all. =^^= But I still do, I just meant it's not my thing when it comes to cosplaying.

I'm sorry that show wasn't for you. :( With my extreme second-hand embarassment, I can't watch that show either, if it makes you feel better!

To be fair, (most) anime still has a long way to to go as far as how they depict female characters is concerned. So I can think of many reasons why someone might not want to cosplay characters from it.

I just started watching Arrested Development. I'm halfway through the first season, and it's amazing. So... just more shame to you dirty non-enjoyers.

Picture SPAAAAAMMM..

Sorry I've been so lazy with uploads...but here's the Mikuru school uniform set, I'm working on the Rocker set next, then Asuka.

And, my favorite image of the set!

Anyway, there you guys go!

also tell your cos-sister, momo?, she is an amazing Yuki! she has the disposition down pat!

I don't have any idea what you two are supposed to be but you are both adorable. Great costumes and pics Kags!

Nothing....:ninja:

But seriously....SDCC work has begun! And for the fist time since I've been to SDCC, I don't have a cosplay picked out on Thursday?!? HEY!

Maybe you guys can help me decide!

Option 1: Bombshell Poison Ivy

This is the one I'm most on the fence about - it's not really...appropriate for conventions and would be very expensive...(but I seriously love it!)

Option 2: LSP

Oh Lumpy Space Princess...I joined a bunch of my friends in planning an Adventure Time group, but I dropped out due to money/lost interest, but they really want me to join them and LSP would be an easier costume.

Option 3: Bayo

I could always wear my pretty little baby two of the days of SDCC! Nothin' wrong with that.

Option 4: Something comfy

I like the idea of easy cosplay, so something like this outfit of Mary Jane's seems like it would be fun. Or any other casual outfits.

Option 4: The Catsuit

Now that I've got a fantastic base catsuit, there are a myriad of costumes that I could do. Catwoman being one of them. I could also do comic book Black Widow, or finish up Black Cat, like I had intended. So any of those three.

And yeah, let me know your thoughts! Speak to me my friends!

I vote Bombshell Ivy. And not for the reasons you think (ok, maybe some of that) but rather because I know how shy you are, and you really seem to gain confidence in cosplaying confident characters.

Bayonetta is also a good choice for this very reason.
