Telltale Games is coming out with a sequel to Poker Night at the Inventory, simply called Poker Night 2.

Your opponents:
  • Sam (from Sam & Max)
  • Ash (from Evil Dead, with his appearance in-game coming from Army of Darkness)
  • Brock Samson (The Venture Bros.)
  • Claptrap (Borderlands 2)
The dealer:
  • GlaDOS (from Portal)
The game comes out April 23rd.

Ok, I never played the first one. Is this an actual poker game, or is it an adventure game ala everything else Telltale makes?

The first one got hours and hours of fun out of me, this one will be a pleasant second night out.
Yeah, you know, I got it for free and thought I'd be super bored, but since my friends aren't usually willing to get a good game of poker going, I played it for hours for a while. I would not be opposed to buying a sequel if it's like $5 or so. I would be unlikely to pay more, though, since, I can always just play the first one and it's still poker.

It really helped that the personalities were fun. This is even an improvment on that cast.

Mm, absolutely. Although, I kind of hated Tycho's voice because I've spent years with him having my own internal voice, and no voice could possibly have been right.

It's funny that Wayforward can pull a couple of 90+ year old actors out of retirement to voice their old characters but Telltale couldn't get Bruce Campbell.

What? That's crazy, Bruce Campbell is easy to get! He will literally work for a bowl of Campbell's Chunky Soup.

I do believe this next one is going to be for like 5 bucks. It's up on Steam for pre-order now and that's the price they have now, complete with getting the first as a pre-order bonus.

The only interesting member of the party there as far as I'm concerned is GlaDOS. I've played exactly 0 of the other games. Oh well, maybe next time.

Brock Sampson is actually from a television show on [adult swim]. I would say his character is basically what you'd get if Arnold Schwarzenegger's action hero characters were combined and given a license to kill, but were required to babysit a failed mad scientist and his two clueless sons. He's one of the best characters on the show.

Ash is from a movie series. I'm not surprised Bruce Campbell isn't involved though, as he's been trying to distance himself from Evil Dead (or at least WAS until the remake happened).

Only goes to show the nerd pool is big enough these days to have people in it who don't know each other anymore. I though Evil Dead was a movie series based off of computer games, but I think I'm confusing with Resident Evil or something :p

To be fair, Bubble is foreign. We can't expect him to know proper pop culture :p
I'm not foreign! You're all foreign! Filthy filthy foreigners!

Also, Adult Swim and Nickleodeon are both only broadcast here very occasionally, dubbed, on a pay channel...So we do'nt really see any ofthose series, ever :p

Pre-ordered. $5 bucks for 8 hats seems like a good deal, plus Borderlands 2 stuff when I buy that on sale.

Well, more like 2 hats and three weapons + 4 hats in the next game.
