Whine like a baby, now with 500% more drama!

Fried chicken was awesome, but now I have to clean up the kitchen. :(

Eh, for what it is - a hazelnut chocolate spread - it's pretty good. It's tasty. It doesn't try to be anything beyond that. But it's not the be-all-end-all miracle food that a lot of the memes (and various internet sites) make it out to be.
It's like Reese's Peanut Butter cups that have been blended until smooth, and instead of peanuts, they use hazelnuts. If you have ever had Ferrero Rocher candies, the filling inside of those is the same stuff. There are many other hazelnut spreads out there, Nutella is just the one that gets the most attention.

I tried it. It wasn't awful, but I'd rather put something else on my bread, to be honest.

Now, if you want a WOW experience, try putting an entire chocolate chip cookie inside your peanut butter sandwich.
You want delicious on your sandwich? Try biscoff spread. It is literally made of ground cookies. Sounds right up your alley.

I'm so tired. This school is bleeding me dry. I could lie on the floor right now and just pass out.
You're all out of faith? This is how you feel? You're cold and you're ashamed, lying naked on the floor?

(Sorry.)[DOUBLEPOST=1362599249][/DOUBLEPOST]Hmm. I just watched the video for Torn. I remember thinking the song was rather trite back then, but it really made me nostalgic. I miss the grunge look on girls. I think it was hot--that total just be yourself kind of look. Seemed like the grunge era was this brief modern light where art was an okay thing for everyone to engage in. No pretense.

Why is there a Disney Junior brand? Disney's already kid-friendly. It doesn't need to go a step-down. What is this line for, babies? They're incapable of following a narrative. This has no purpose.

I demand these advertisements cease from Halforums!

Disney Jr is the pre-school crowd. Regular Disney is pre-teens/teens and Disney XD started as being aimed more at boys, but is now becoming Disney cartoon central.

Got it--I thought this was a movie brand they were marketing and that seemed stupid. I forget about their TV channels (when able).

It's glorified icing/frosting if you really want to get down to it.
"Disagree" may be a bit strong, but there's no "Not quite" icon to click :-P

Anyway, it's funny (to me) that Nutella is only becoming a "thing" in the US now. It's been probably THE most "standard" part of Belgian breakfast and/or lunch since the '60s.

Anyway, it was invented as bread topping or spread or whatever you want to call it. Originally, as a chocolate-replacement in the afteryears of WWII. Hazelnut and sugar were easier to get than high quality chocolate.

And, while Patrick isn't 100% correct as the ingredient balance is slightly different, Nutella was actually invented by mr Ferrero (current recipe by Junior :p).

Anyway, it certainly can be used as frosting, but that isn't what it was originally designed for, is all I wanted to say - which isn't really "disagreeing" with saying it's glorified frosting, per se, I know.

As much as I hate living in the heart of a city, or even in the immediately surrounding suburbs, I have to admit that I really miss having semi-dependable delivery food options. Where I live now we can get pizza and Chinese food from a couple of places that suck. Gone are the days when I lived much closer to downtown Seattle and could get Thai, Vietnamese, decent Chinese, Indian, Moroccan/North African, Mediterranean, Middle-Eastern, etc. food all delivered for a decent price and have some tasty dinner that I didn't have to cook myself that night. Moving to rural Wisconsin is going to make things even more impossible, but of course it has some good points that counteract that issue.

I live so far out, I can't even get a pizza.
That's the situation that I will hopefully be in after our move this summer. And when I'm that far away from other people, I really don't mind not being able to get pizza (or anything else for that matter) delivered. It's when I'm surrounded by apartment complexes as far as the eye can see and still can't get anything delivered that it bothers me.

Yup. That's why I said "same stuff" (meaning choc/haz/sugar) and not "Nutella." Haven't looked in a while, but I'm pretty sure Nutella even says "Ferrero" right on the label somewhere (checks) yep, right under the name.

Don't get me wrong. I will demolish a pile of Ferrero candies (or Lindt balls) whenever they show up at any sort of event, and if we have a jar of it in the house and that jar starts to run low, it and a spoon will conveniently find some way to disappear themselves right over to the region of Kati's computer. Cary hasn't had the pleasure of tasting any sort of sweet spread yet, but I'm sure that day will be like Zoidberg with the anchovies.

I agree! :) Though I have to wonder if they make a sweeter version of it to appeal more to the American palate and a less sweet version that is sold in Europe. My mom's best friend brought some from Italy back in the early 80's. I don't remember it tasting like it does today. I remember it having more of a hazelnut flavor and a bit less sweet.

Delivery isn't a big thing in WI. About the only place that delivers regularly up here outside of the big cities is the chain pizza places.

So, did video really kill the radio star?
Yep. It did. We went from people with good music that looked like hell (all the freaking Rolling Stones, Geddy Lee, J. Geils Band, Pretender, Bob Seger...) and went to "made for video" stars and boy bands.

In Wisconsin, I'm not concerned with the lack of delivery food options. It's when I'm living this close to fucking Seattle, the city of a thousand ethnicities, and can only get pizza or shitty Chimerican food delivered that I get annoyed.

I know some rusty violin riff and nothing else of some song. No lyrics, no name, no artist, nothing. I'll probably never find out what it is.

It will haunt me to the end of my days.
