Teenage Alien Ninja Turtles

It is impossible to decide what was the worst part about those movies. The characterization, Padme's out-fits, the bad action scenes, Padme's out-fits, the fact that Darth Maul had no fucking lines in the first fucking movie making him one of the most boring villains in cinema or any other medium EVER! And it din't take until the TV show for Maul to look even REMOTELY interesting. Also, how is he alive? Does his species have some weird Frieza thing going on?

But of course the worst thing was Jar Jar. UGGGGGGGGGGGGGH. I never thought I'd say this, but bring back the Ewoks! I need something subtle to wash away that obnoxiousness.

So yeah back to the turtles. Uuuuuuuuuh...Michael Bay sucks! .....okay never mind back to Lucas. One thing I hated even more than the characterization would be when Yoda would talk in that weird way like "Not if there is anything toay about it, I am!" In the original trilogy he talked liked that in order to give off an air of senility and confound Luke. In the prequels...they made it a speech-impediment. Also, how Yoda was able to jump around like hell when fighting Count Dooku. He was only AT LEAST twenty years younger in this film maybe more. For him to be able to jump around like that at age 800 something to not being able to move much at 900 something is like being spry and active at 86 and being an invalid at 88. THAT'S NOT HOW AGING WORKS LUCAS!

I don't blame Lucas for that one.

For all we know, Yoda spent like 750 of those 800 years kicking it on Coruscant with the best food made by Jedi cooks, working out at the best gyms run by Jedi personal trainers. Then he gets trapped on Dagobah, which is a giant shit-hole compared to most places, let alone the Jedi Temple. And he's clearly not really up to taking the same care of himself in that kind of environment (just look at his house).

If he hadn't been so used to the high-life, he'd probably have been fine, but he probably spent at least 15 of those 20 years peeing in the bushes outside after the refresher unit on his ship broke inside the first week of his arrival.

That's because though his body may be shackled got real old, his mind wanders free remained pretty effin' awesomesauce.

I'll agree with you on the awesomesauce, but I still have trouble believin that Yoda could still move around like that in Attack of the Clones. Also, why did they need all thos jedi to fight those robots in Ep 2? Wouldn't a well-trained jedi be able to take out a few robots? In fact...how would droids be an actual threat when jedi have been proven to be able to shoot lightning? Lightning equals electricity and EMP fucks with hard-ware. So many questions....

Well, they were outnumbered hundreds to one.

And no, force lightning is a Sith technique, and if there's one thing Jedi of that era were not, it was flexible in their thinking. :p

I am pretty sure I saw Jedi use lightning in those movies. But yeah I will agree that they were not that flexible. Would it KILL one of them to carry a blaster!

Nope, the only time any Jedi are shown manipulating lightning is when Obi Wan channel's Dooku's lightning into his saber, Mace Windu reflects Palpatine's lightning back into him, and Yoda captures Palpatine's lightning to throw back at him. Lightning is a dark side technique powered by hatred.*

*Edit: expanded universe and the New Jedi Order did play around with trying to use darkside techniques while remaining in control, and even had Luke use it a few times, but by and large it was considered a dangerous practice even then.

Huh, all this time I thought that was their own lightning. Ah well, learn somethin' new every day.

One thing good to come from the prequels would be those BITCHIN' Gendy Tartakovsky cartoons. So beautiful...WHERE ARE YOU TARTAKOVSKY?!

Well back to hating on things. Did anyone else find Grievous a rather pointless villain? I mean he looked cool but I felt he was just there for the sake of being there. That and to sell toys of course.

Michael Bay is just doing this shit on purpose. It has to be intentionally bad - he's trolling geeks.

That's... pretty stupid.

Alright, y'know what, if he really does things like this, I'll go into the movie with the same expectations as the Transformers films. Just gimme turtles beating up bad guys. That's all I ask. Turtles beating up bad guys. You can have all the 18-year-old angst you want, you can have all the plot holes and stupid gimmicks and lame one-liners, just gimme the fights.

Or, you could, y'know, refuse to watch what you know is going to be a shitty movie...

The first half of the summary didn't seem that bad. Even the Dimension X stuff wasn't completely excruciating, given the subject material. I just don't want Michael Bay doing it, because it will be 3 hours of gratuitous slo-mo, explosions, genuinely awful (not corny, just plain awful) lines, and completely incomprehensible fight scenes.

This is why I would be behind Michael Bay doing Biker Mice.

Honestly none of that sounds too bad too me, except that it's Michael Bay doing it. Were it Christopher Nolan making those same changes, everyone would be pissing themselves in excitement.

(Including me)

...yes if anyone could pull it off it would be Nolan. Hell, he made Bane sound Scottish and I was okay with it! Isn't that weird?

Indeed I am back, happiness all around. And I ain't never leavin' again.

On a similar topic, what does everyone think of the new CGI cartoon that's going to be on Nicktoons? On the one hand it's CGI, on the other hand it has from what I've read an all-star voice cast. Hell, Rob Paulsen is playing Donatello! The original Raphael! Which is kind-of a funny in-joke if you think about it, playing the silly joking character and now playing the serious geek character.

I'd complain, but I'm not going to see it, so it won't matter to me. If y'all were smart, and if you want to end the popularity of Michael Bay, you should all stop watching his shitty ass movies. I'll bet that 90% of the people that are complaining about the movie will still go see it.

...Megan Fox? Uh...really? I'm not even criticizing her acting(which is critique worthy indeed) I just do not buy her as April O'neil. Not the worst thing to happen though, but when they cast Shia Lebeouf as Leonardo though thats when I'll start getting annoyed.

I did stop. Years ago. Unfortunately, that's when I learned that we are outnumbered.

And now I'm thinking that since this is a Bay movie that he's going to but Krang in it, and his mech suit will be all clanky stupid looking.

Damn straight. But in all honesty, I kinda wanna see it. I have never been prepared to Riff a film before- BUT NOW I AM! Now all I need are some puppets!

I seem to recall reading something where Casey Jones works for some sort of elite military organization, so, yeah, his military fetish is already taken care of.

G.I: Why does Seargent Jones always wear a hockey mask?

G.I: It was the last thing his father gave him before dying in Iraq.

There is a high chance this line will be in the film.
