I liked AotS. But the last few times I watched were horrible. Kevin left and his and Munn's replacement just did not have what it took to produce a watchable show. Yeah I am not upset anymore that g4 was dropped from the cable package that I had.

As for Munn on the Daily Show, I think she was hoping that her willingness to do ridiculous stunts would be all she needed for it and not the political wit that is.

Sometimes going to the hospital is like visiting an Amsterdam brothel: they stick things in orifices that have thus far remained untouched.

...as stated by someone who had a fiber-optic camera shoved up his nose and down his throat yesterday. Apparently my current lack of voice is due to an inflamed larynx.

I've been working on a report that my boss wants done weekly, with an analysis of trending between each week, for a couple weeks now. The process goes something like this:

1) Get incredibly vague set of criteria from boss.
2) Decipher incredibly vague set of criteria, submit report.
3) Report rejected, more detailed set of incredibly vague criteria amended to report.
4) Repeat step 2.
5) Repeat step 3.
6) Rinse. Repeat.

We're now getting to the point where, while the words he's using are all English words, putting them together doesn't necessarily make a sensible sentence.

On a less ranty note, my voice is coming back... now giving me a rasp that makes me sound like Bane.

Currently, I feel like I should be hunched over my desk, singing the lyrics from "I Dreamed a Dream" with tears in my eyes. I have two degrees! I've lived/studied in three different countries. WHY?! WHYYY?!?! WHY AM I STUCK IN THIS JOB?!




I know I should be glad that I have a job. And, after facing unemployment before, I am grateful, but it's one of those days.

The good news is that your voice is going to get better. They will likely clean it up in post after they get feedback from the test audiences that you sound "too garbled".

Hmm. If these Internet advice sites and help books are to be believed, it is because you are not sufficiently applying yourself.
...but it could also be because you are not related to anyone important enough to put in a good word for you somewhere.

On another note, if I have to drive a long way, I prefer to do so early in the morning, so as to avoid traffic*. When I am crusing along at warp 7 at 5:30a, the road should be clear and free of idiots, but no. Instead I have to contend with people who are going into work 2+hrs early because they are hot to finish That Important Project 'cuz they're gunning for that corner office promotion, passing me up at 85MPH while they juggle coffee, breakfast, and the morning paper across two lanes of traffic (without signaling) and hitting the rumble strips every couple of miles.

It could also be because of the fact that I paid for college myself via student loans. Shelling out 1/4 of my income a month to repay them is not my idea of a fun time. It's also a large reason why I can't/haven't gone to graduate school. I don't even have enough money to take the GRE much less apply to grad schools. It seems like all of the jobs I want require a Master's, which I know I could easily get if I only had the money. :(

ALso, $13.000 for a Leaf? Seriously? I might've bought one at that price. They start at €33.990 here (some rebates still to be applied). Madness!

One week left at my shitty paper delivery job and I'll be god damned if it hasn't rained and/or snowed every day for the last week. I'm so sick of fucking snow. Oh, and those assholes can't seem to deliver the papers at a decent time. I can't wait till this damn job is done.
