[PC Game] World of Warcraft: Catch All Thread

I did sex change my shaman because I didn't like the way Dranei female's shoulderblades practically meet in the back and to avoid the shoulder armor form clipping into itself, they make them super small.

I like how orc males have the opposite issue. Shoulder gear so big that they always clip through any and everything from weapons to helmets to chest pieces.

What is weird is that issue does not happen on every shoulder armor. T5 has always looked flawless on a Draenei female.

Still better then that whole patch where the shoulders got bugged.

That patch was amazing. All my characters looked ridiculous.

I typically play female characters that look like my wife. It's the only time I can get her to do what I want and even then it's on a cooldown.

One more cooldown to go. Tomorrow I get my Inscribed Tiger Staff.

(And with upgrades for VP, it'll last me a long, long time :))
Speaking of awesome weapons, I'm quite the happy Druid this week:

Love that it comes from Tsulong who shifts between Light and Sha form and the staff reflects that. Can't wait to get my Sha-Touched Gem. I'm currently 7/10 Strength and 7/10 Wisdom Sigils.

Oh man, it's just been so long since I played WoW. There just seems to be a point where the numbers get so large that it borders on ridiculous.

I just took my 90 windwalker monk through a couple of BC heroics. spinning crane kick all the trash for rep and touch of death to one-shot the bosses. :)

I'm simply echoing the thousands of posts on the WoW forums about how this is an issue and it's amusing to me how Scythe simply repeats Blizzard's responses.
Funny....You repeat back "arguments" as heard on another forum, and you're surprised/find it funny that the other side of your argument uses the same replies/arguments as before. Ask the same questions, get the same answers. To expect anything else is madness :p

Anyway, that aside, a question. I got an e-mail from Blizzard saying I get WoW (with the older expansions) for free with 30 days free trial on my account, for having bought DIII. So apparently they realised the two games are so much alike that they appeal to the same fan base, and they prefer that fan base on WoW over DIII? I dunno. Anyway, I thought I'd add it to my account, 'cause, hey, free stuff. Don't intend to start playing, but who knows. So I go to Battle.net, I throw in the WoW key in the mail, and surprise, it actually works (what? I assume it's phishing until proven otherwise - no way in hell was I going to click a link in the mail itself :p). However, it still takes me to a page to choose my payment method and what kind of subscription I want.
Question's obvious: if I put in info (which they have anyway - I bought SC2 WoL and HotS with my credit card, it's linked to my battle.net account), will they start charging? 'cause I certainly don't intend to play it - I'd like to have it on my account just in case, and if those 30 days wait 'till my first log-in, hey, bonus. I don't want to suddenly find myself charged €12 or €64 or whatever.

Anyone?

They always ask for payment just because they don't really expect anyone to buy the game and put it on the account without possibly moving into a full subscription. However, they won't charge the card for the first subscription until after the free 30 days expire. If you want to simply add it to the account, put in the payment info, then the next day cancel the sub. Then it will not charge you 30 days later, but you will still be able to play till the sub "expires" after the 30 days.

This. This is exactly why I never make it past a couple of weeks every time I try. "Ooo boy, next quest! ... Go kill 25 dire wolves. That's totally different!" "Phew, level 50. Things will be different now! ... Go kill 500 Flaming Death Wolves and collect the teeth that are apparently made of glass and only survive every 45th slaying."

Blizzard needs a swift kick in the head. I've spent the last 20 or so days collecting what I need to make an Inscribed Tiger Staff for my Monk. And what does it take to make it?

Plain Wooden Staff x1
Ghost Iron Bar x3
Starlight Ink x28
Scroll of Wisdom x20
Spirit of Harmony x7

You first make a Ghost Iron Staff, and then you can make the Tiger staff.

Here's where Blizz needs a swift kick. When you make the final purple staff, it says it starts a quest. If you try and equip it by clicking on it, it starts the quest which destroys the staff!!! Oh, and the quest reward? 10 Scrolls of Wisdom. Big fucking deal.

Thank FSM I read about this before I did anything with it.

Well, PTR in January.

And if the raid is as large as they're saying (Ulduar-large), it'll take 6-8 weeks of testing.

So I'd probably guesstimate 5.2 being released in late Feb/March.

I swear, Blizzard is just trolling people with 5.2

Want an alternate method to get lesser charms? PET BATTLES!

Hey remember how we removed Head Enchants because they had become overly mandatory? LEGENDARY HEAD ENCHANT!

Hey, but at least I have a chance of riding a friggin Triceritops someday!

Plus I can finally kick that freeloading Yoon off my farm.

Just after dailies reset is a great time to go hunting for Onyx Eggs on Dark Iron. Found seven in one go yesterday and six this morning. And with the Grand Commendation, they're worth 1100 rep each.

Until you reach exalted. Then you can't turn them in any more. There's no sell price, so vendors don't want them. They're soulbound, so you can't pass on extras to anyone else. The only way to get them out of your inventory is to destroy them. That kinda goes against the whole spirit of the faction, doesn't it?
